"This was genuinely the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. There was a BED BUG and ANT INFESTATION.
We booked a last minute trip and chose Lake Powell Resort primarily because it was one of the few waterfront options available. We even upgraded to a suite and spent nearly $600 on our stay.
After our second night, we woke up covered in BITES and found hundreds of BUGS in and around the bed area, along with a major ANT INFESTATION throughout the room and bathroom. I was absolutely mortified, and my husband and I immediately packed all of our belongings and left. I only managed to take a couple of photos because I wanted to get out of the room as quickly as possible.
Not only were there bugs everywhere, but the room itself was filthy. The sheets had brown and dark red stains that appeared old, the shower curtain was pink and yellow with discoloration, the towels were cheap and old, and the entire room smelled moldy. The air conditioning unit smelled like the filter hadn’t been changed in years.
What made the situation even more frustrating was how it was handled afterward. My husband spoke with the front desk, and we were told management would review the situation, call us back, and process a refund. We provided photos of the bugs as well as photos of the bites we suffered. Despite this, we never received a callback or refund and were told there were no bugs present, which was absolutely not true.
Because we had to leave early, our entire vacation was ruined."
