Hotels near Spring Meadow Lake State Park

"The shade would not function. The ceiling tiles were pulled back and 3 of them open. We tried to cool the room off and it was on air conditioning and set it 65 and it didn't get any cooler than 75. The bed was lumpy. Hard in spots and soft in areas. I was supposed to have king with sleeper sofa. No sofa! No information given at check-in. "

"Food was a minus! No Hot Water and staff stated the lady owner has been told repeatedly the hot water tank isn’t working and she refuses to do anything about it. We should have been advised when we checked in as we both needed showers before the graduation party that afternoon. Carpet filthy totally BAD experience. "Pros: Excellent location. Restaurant staff were wonderful. rooms are quite large and fairly clean. Con: I called in advance to ask about internet coverage. I had an important 2-hour online engagement at a very early hour. They said that they had "excellent" internet and made a note for me to have a room on the 2nd floor closest to the router. When I checked in, the front desk saw the note but said they couldn't honor that because they were full and offered no solutions. I came down to the front desk a few times to ask about options, but they weren't helpful at all. Could I go buy a wifi booster, an ethernet cable? Could they move me for the next night, when the meeting would occur? Nope. I was scrambling to find a coworking space where I could get into at 5:30 AM, and exploring booking another hotel that could assure me strong internet. Finally, a maintenance worker overheard my concern and told me to switch to another network and move my chair closer to the hallway. That worked. My virtual speech went off without a hitch. But, the indifference of the gentleman at the front desk was unacceptable, especially since I had called months prior to ask about this."

"The hotel was run down, not clean at all. The lobby was a few scattered couches and not much else. The carpets in the public areas were not vacuumed. Dust and dirt everywhere. The rooms were awful. Dirty, out dated, poorly lit and damaged furniture. There was no breakfast and the entire place smelled weirdly."
