"Blackbear Guesthouse has lots of comfort and stylish character. I was a solo traveler without a car but was able to take advantage of a seasonal bus service along the Pacific Rim Highway between Tofino and Ucluelet to get into both towns. The hospitable owners were also happy to give me a lift to Tofino if our journeys coincided. I used Pacific Rim Navigators to get a return trip from Long Beach Airport to the Guesthouse, which is not too far from the airport."

"We enjoyed having a full kitchen, separate sleeping area (bedroom), and comfortable LR furniture to lounge and watch the large TV. The place was modern and well equipped. It was a short drive to access points for the oceanside trails. Very quiet at night, except for the sea lions early in the morning."
