We had a villa that had no stairs which was a bonus. Other units are 2 storey which we found difficult last time we stayed as both have dodgy knees. Very quiet, has everything you need and a great walking track at the bottom of the road around the coast that takes you into town.

Disappointing stay
The property we had was spacious, but smelt damp and unpleasant. It backs onto a slope which meant no light comes in from the back of the flat and that maybe is the source of dampness. The place looked clean at first glance, but there was actually dust in many places. The owner was friendly

Hi JPL. It is difficult to comment given you stayed almost 4 months ago. The rear of the apartment is in direct sunlight so that's why we have a rear (and front) balcony and clothes line located there.

I loved my stay here. The check-in was seamless and I had no problems at all. The wifi connection was great and I was provided with some local information that helped me plan my day trips. The villa came with all the essentials, including an ironing board and a vacuum cleaner! Very comfortable bed and good shower pressure.

Sweet water was fantastic, amazing villas with everything you need and positioned so you could walk to town, look out over the bay, it was so quiet and peaceful. Free washing machines and $3 for dryers- also washing lines on your back deck WITH pegs was awesome! The villas have everything- beds were so comfy which is a bonus when travelling! Everything was absolutely clean and spotless! Cannot fault anything!

The unit was clean, spacious and well set up with everything needed to for a short to long term stay with a small family. Location quiet and close to town (very short drive). Views over the bay were lovely - beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Large parking spots right outside the unit made loading and unloading the car easy.

A nice warm welcome to the property from Tim. Great bed and pillows I slept wonderfully. All amenities were as promised. Only thing that disappointed was it was advertised that there was room service and this was not the case, this needs to be adjusted in Wotif’s advertising.

Nice place but could do better with cleaning
Sweet water villas was great to look at from the photo but on entering there was a container for sanitizer that had been used for cigarettes butts from a previous occupation the shower was extremely difficult to get a correct temperature 1 mm that way too hot 1mm the other too cold and had mouldy grouting and silicone......between the wall and the side table in the bedroom was a gap too big to get a vacuum cleaner in and consequently it was not vacuumed for quite sometime and had a build up of dust the kitchen was well appointed and had everything in it but having a sign saying that we would be charged a cleaning fee if it wasn’t clean is a bit rude isn’t it part and parcel of running a motel

Hi Colin. Firstly its good to see things improve with time. The last review you supplied us was only 2 out of 10. We provide the sanitiser outside the rooms since the start of Covid and have been applauded for it. I thank you for locating the 2 butts without filters as they were difficult for the cleaners to see given the height. I’m sorry you had difficulties operating our a 2 stage shower. I run the hot till it warms up and add cold to adjust. They are ½ turn ceramic taps with good pressure. I do congratulate your dexterity in a 1 mm adjustment. I have certainly addressed your items with the cleaners. As for your well appointed kitchen comment. We are rated 4 star Self contained with 4 pod stove top, microwave full size fridge and include up to 100 items in our kitchens. The (rude) sign advises “Please ensure any kitchen equipment used is washed dried and put away prior to check out” No different to any self contained apartment or I have stayed in. We are installing dishwashers to assist. Thanks

I liked the location but we were a bit disappointed with the cleaning part, we had to clean the coffee table which was pretty grubby also the lounge and chairs had not been cleaned properly and the windows have not been cleaned for a long time they have dirty marks all over them and covered with cobwebs we also had to wash the cutlery before we could use it .This could be a perfect place to stay apart from these easily fixed problems.

Suitable for 2 but way over priced. The bed was exceptionally good compared to the rest of the facility. Poor maintenance stands out which just fails the whole experience. I have videos of probably the worlds loudest toilet, front door that rattles when the wind blows and allows the draft to bellow in, but most of all the vanity taps in the bathroom, basic plumbing repairs that can be googled...

Comfortable, light and airy villa that is well appointed and clean. The little added touches that are often only found in much more expensive vilas were very much appreciated. E.g. clean glasses in the bathroom. Hair dryer and stocked broom cupboard. Large bowls for food served at the table were pyrex and not plastic. Thankyou for listening to people and their requests and then acting on them

Spacious, good views and adequate amenities. Clean linen and kitchenware, however overall cleanliness of unit was poor. Rubbish bin had not been emptied and floor was dusty. Owner happy to fix problems quickly.
