The area around the hotel is fast changing and was once very run down. It is coming up quickly now and the promenade in particular is clean, safe, well designed, and nice place to hang out and walk down to the Old Town in Hastings.

Amazing sea view
"Very friendly and informative host who knew lots about the local area. The room was very clean and comfortable and had an amazing sea view with a balcony. It may not be luxury but we couldn't fault it. Second time staying here and will stay again"

"The hotel was going through a external facelift...from the completed section it will look super when it's all done. The interior is historic and very attractive. Our room was massive and had a marvellous sea view. Very clean and comfortable."

A rundown place with more than its fair share of winos. The gay pride march was good and punctual

At Leonard's has s tranquil feel to it and has a good selection of eating places. The beach is a pebble one but great walk above or below the promanade. Hastings pier is walkable but the local authority often lock it up.
