"From checking in to checking out, everything was perfect. The staff,food, beds, entertainment nightly, location was excellent. Perfect appreciated manners and respect from young staff. All staff are a credit to the Doric. With complimentary tram passes it is effortless to see the sights of Blackpool. I can honestly say there wasn’t anything to complain about. "The gimic was the pitch side view although the kids found it frustrating that they coukdnt open the sliding doors to get closer. I explained the reasons why to them. Our frustations re this hotel was that there wasnt any shower gel and there were only 2 bath towels between our family of 4. The bed topper on the twin beds to make it a double was also really thin so it may aswell been 2 twin beds. We checked in around1030pm and then left at 0930am so couldn't comment on other areas of the hotel. I guess a good location and gimmick but other hotels will be more comfortable for families. "

"Having stayed at Ruskin many times over past few decades I find the cleanliness and staff service always to a good standard- rooms are cleaned each day. There has been a rise in bar prices however my concern is the breakfast is not of the quality I previously experienced. Whilst the layout is good with various choice of cooked or cold foods I found there has been a decline in the quality of the produce served with hot breakfast "
