Hotels near Starlight Beach

"The hotel is not cared for.....hallways, stairways are all unkept. There are some safety issues with flooring and overhead covers in hallways. Air conditioning/heat system projects loud fan sounds....rooms not even minimally stocked with kitchenware. The bathroom light includes a fan....and that too was so loud. Saul, a staff person, was very helpful and interested in hearing about our concerns. He did get a technician to adjust the TV volume setting.....and the TV is located above the air/heating system with loose cords dangling from the TV"

"The hotel is close to everything, one block from Vons grocery so very convenient for walking. The hotel is old and rooms need a remodel. Bathroom was old and dirty (hair on floor, dirty toilet) and the tub didn’t drain well. The towels were very scratchy. The mattress needs to be replaced. My husband and I felt like we were rolling into a “hole” in the middle. Every time one of us moved to try and get comfortable the whole bed shook. Did not sleep well despite the hotel being quiet. We tried to watch the TV but none of the streaming options (Netflix, Disney +, etc..) had a strong enough WiFi signal to play a movie. Tried to watch the “regular” channels but only two of those channels had a good enough connection to play the show. Since there isn’t much of a night life on the Island it was a bummer that the TV didn’t work. Glad we were only here for one night and most likely will stay somewhere else if we visit the island again. "

"Overall, I had a good stay. The location was very convenient, the shuttle service was great, and the staff was very friendly. The hotel was clean and affordable, and I liked that they had a ping-pong table, board games, and other entertainment options. The only improvements I would suggest are larger towels and making sure the pool is actually heated, since it felt pretty cold. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay."

"Room was very clean. Staff is friendly. No ocean view from our room. Extremely noisy to an extent we couldn't sleep. Pillows are too soft. After 2 nights, we got severe neck and shoulder pain. Air condition unit old and super noisy too. The shower head had mold & mildew. Even though the bathroom looks like recently updated, it seems they've saved on the shower head and kept the old one. The location is superb. "
