"We stayed at the Embers for just one night, but it was a difficult night because of a personal problem that came up just before our check-in. The staff was absolutely the best and did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. It's a lovely hotel, with fantastic people on staff. We'll stop back again sometime soon. Thanks for everything!"

"Our only real complaint would be the servers in the restaurants. Our fortieth anniversary dinner in the Chalet Restaurant was dampened by a distracted waitress that had to be asked numerous times for water and cocktail napkins for our glasses that were sweating all over our table and dripping on our clothes. Our food came to us lukewarm so we didn’t even stay for dessert. Our first night there I made reservations for The Pub not knowing they only had high top tables which are not comfortable for one of us due to a medical condition. The hostess told me we couldn’t be seated in the Taproom because that was not what I reserved. When I questioned our server about it she said it was because there was only one server in the Taproom and when I pointed out that serving only had two people seated in that area she pretty much just ignored me. Besides our dining experiences we loved Switzerland Inn. We loved our view and our balcony!!"

"A very nice three star hotel within easy walking distance of main street Blowing Rock. The staff was extremely nice and helpful and gave me some excellent restaurant recommendations as well as a nice tip about a hiking-running trail to some beautiful waterfalls. Beds were comfortable. The property was very quiet with a nice outdoor seating area with tables and fire pits."
