"This was the first of two stays there in the Spring of 2025. Lovely old building right in the middle of the Altstadt of Freiburg. Nice room and excellent breakfast. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We liked it so much we returned for a second stay a week or so later. "

Food in the atmospherically alpine dining rooms was good, if slightly on the expensive side. Not so good: the website promises a direct access to a lift and alpine run - no information that this had, in fact run out of snow and was closed over a month ago. "Quirky place high up in the mountains. Beautiful setting. Great breakfast and good sizes rooms, however the walls are paper thin so you hear your neighbours at all hours. We didn’t get much of a lie in! Our shower was luke warm and not very powerful. "
