"We stayed in room 105, which was a double room. The room was clean although boiling hot when we got there as the thermostat was on the highest setting. We turned it right down but it took a long time to get anywhere near cool enough to sleep (and it wasn't a warm night). We couldn't open the window as there was a huge fan or air-conditioning unit right up under the window which made a loud droning noise all night long. It was unbearable. Even with the window shut it was loud and we got no sleep. We stay at the Cromwell fairly often, but won't be staying there again after this experience. We had a four hour drive the following morning and were exhausted from lack of sleep. "

"When we arrived there was not enough bedding but a phone call to the host who arranged for the housekeeper to come round within half hour sorted it all out. "

"On arrival carpets are badly stained and desperately need cleaned. The silicone in the shower has black mould - it needs replaced. Strong smell of spices in the fridge - needs a thorough clean. Washing machine has strong smell of mould - despite running a cycle, the strong smell was still there. The location is good and it does have private parking. The flat has potential if they cleaned it properly. They ask for a refundable deposit and an ID to stay. Since our departure and two emails later, we are still awaiting a reply and refund of our deposit. No reason at all to withhold our deposit. Other reviews on other platforms state the same issue, please be aware of this. "

"Owner cancelled my longstanding booking so they could accept another booking. Leaving us having to vastly over lpay for alternative accommodation. Not acceptable. Pointless booking if you can't have confidence that they will go out your booking. They decided to allow previous guests to extend as it was worth more money to them. Expedia shouldn't allow this!"
