Excellent Hotel
Excellent hotel and only a 5 minute walk from the airport so don't get a taxi. The hotel is modern and very clean with superb convention facilities. The food is amazing with so much choice you will not leave hungry. Will definitely stay again.

Excellent location for the airport. The Buffet dinner is excellent and great choices at a good price. The fact they provide a free light breakfast from 4 am was also a nice touch.

This hotel is 5 star. Beautiful room everything perfect. This hotel would be $400 per night in the US. Breakfast was beyond amazing. Smoked salmon eggs a buffet alone worth the cost of the room.

Welcome to Hell...
Rooms NOT AT ALL AS PICTURED, looked like a Norwegian reform prison cell, indifferent, snippy staff to boot. Corner slice of window with no tint/mirroring looking inside the building directly across to the glass elevators and all floor halls, so no window really (must use curtains at all times). A/C not working in room. Expensive 5 item choice menu in restaurant (well overcoojed burger = $25 usd (no room service either, best to get food rom nearby REMA 1000 or in hidden in hotel lobby snack bar) Refrigerator not working. Given a bag of ice and a towel for my insulin. Nothing for my food, no apologies either. Desk staff very entitled and rude when told of issues. Chastised like naughty school children for contacting hotels.com about room, dismissive & impatient about refrigerator/insulin concerns. No water glasses. No bath floor mat. 2 small towels in bathroom. Cheap awful toilet paper, ugh. Shower stall doesnt fit to floor so water cones out from under on bathroom floor, dangerous with no bath mat / floor towel. Tiny sad old pillows. 1 per bed, extra ones in room but without pillowcases. Outdated and spartan, like a $50 room. In desperate need of renovation. Nothing at all like the room in the booking photos. Was selling for $225 the night I was there (I had booked at $175). Hand sanitizer machine outside breakfast buffet empty. Gross. Never again.

Great hotel - Amazing staff!
Lovely hotel, nice room - amazingly nice helpful and friendly staff. The staff make all the difference making any hotel stay more welcoming. At the Scandic Hell they made us all feel really welcome and valued.

A Hell of a Hotel!
It was a Hell of a Hotel! Hell is a great place (although technically the hotel was on the other side of the river from Hell proper.

After our 9hr (scheduled) train trip turned into an 14hr adventure which involved a 3hr bus ride, where in which I was able to advise the hotel of our late arrival- we arrived to the hotel at approximately 0330 on the day of checkout (missing the check-in day by 3.5hrs)- only to be directed to the wrong direction for the room (the wrong wing of the hotel). We returned to the front desk and were redirected to the "other wing" of the hotel, to walk into a room in which the heating had been turned on to full blast. We remember the scale saying 26C (78.8F)- NOT WHAT YOU WANT TO WALK INTO AFTER JUST WANTING TO GO TO BED & HAVING ALREADY BEEN LED ASTRAY TO THE WRONG WING OF THE HOTEL LOOKING FOR YOUR ROOM. In the morning, after an admittedly delicious breakfast buffet, we found out that we had been placed on the side of the building in which the sun would rise, thereby heating up the room because there is no airconditioning available. After already have been told that a late checkout was "simply not possible without charge", we went to the air conditioned lobby with our pillows to get some of the best sleep of the morning. ONLY TO BE WOKEN UP BY STAFF SUGGESTING THAT WE SHOULD SLEEP IN OUR ROOM. We refused and checked out shortly thereafter. Stay at the Radisson BLU next to the train station and airport.

Misleading pictures - you won’t get what you see
I’m very mad at Hotels.com. I’ve been using this website for years now but for this hotel I had a very bad experience due to Hotels.com only, not the hotel itself. Pictures of the room published by Hotels.com are totally misleading. I had no nice room with wooden floor but an old room with red carpet. Old bathroom as well It seems this hotel merged two buildings and we were staying in the old one. It was our last night in Norway before leaving, and as it was quite expensive we use our free night voucher to get this ugly room not in line with our expectations/the pictures published by Hotels.com. See picture attached. I’d like to file a complaint but such procedure is hidden... Staff was nice. Breakfast was very good.

Loved my stay here! The room was clean and comfortable. Location was great - easy 10 min walk to tte train station and airport. Lots of trains going to Trondheim so it was easy to get to the city centre. The TV paired to my phone and you can also use a laptop or tablet with it. The breakfast was totally amazing!! The value for the price was really great and i would definitely stay here again :)

Very nice hotel within walking distance of the airport. They have a shuttle bus to the airport but it doesn't go at weekends. We had the dinner buffet which is amazing.

I tried the buffet for dinner. Very good food, but high price. There was some kind of arrangement that evening with loud local music. And that type of music is only for locals... But overall fair hotel, with very good food. But all comes with a price, and this a high one.

Not a regular Scandic!
Close to the airport, there is a shuttle bus but you have to phone for it and it stops running in the evening. Walking distance in dry weather. Large rooms with excellent bathroom. Restaurant is superb, top class meals and an amazing buffet option with smoked salmon, dressed crab, sushi, roast beef, lots of veg and a table full of far more deserts than you could possibly eat in one evening. Breakfast equally amazing - another huge buffet. Chef du jour making omelettes while you wait.

Great hotel if you need a relaxing night close to the airport. Only negative is that the shuttle bus to the airport only started at 7am. However, as it is so close to the airport this should not be an issue unless you have an early flight.

Great airport hotel
This is a large modern hotel very close to Trondheim airport. It has a large, airy atrium, and glass sided lifts. Rooms are a reasonable size, but lack anywhere to place two suitcases without tripping over them. Lovely view from probably any outside room. No air conditioning. One of the best buffet breakfasts we had on our trip, the buffet dinner as also excellent.

We stayed here one night because it was close to the airport, had van service and big breakfast. Hotel is a very nice convention hotel. We got in late and due to isolated area, we ate dinner at the hotel which was a pretty good buffet selection for our last night in Norway. We were disappointed only because our flight was at 6 am...so no van and no big breakfast. Hotel did provide an early cold continental breakfast and called us a cab. If I had same schedule again, I would check out the Radisson Blu which is actually AT the airport.

Small room with a narrow window panel
The room 3352 cost us $779 for two nights. The room had a narrow window panel overlooking the foyer area so the room was dark and it felt closed in. The rooms on the other side of the corridor had lots of natural light and a better aspect looking to the outside world. The shower grout was very unclean and there was mould on some of the shower tiles. Around the small bar fridge it was dusty and needed a good clean. It was so disappointing to have spent so much money and to be given such a room. At any cost it was unacceptable. When we made the booking online the picture of the room shown was one of the rooms on the other side of the corridor and although I know that you don't necessarily get the same room as shown, this was misleading. We filled out the card with our complaints and left it with reception. We stayed on 15th and 16 August.
