"Clean room, nice surroundings but short staffed bar and the evening meal was definitely an overpriced ‘pub grub’ offering. Doesn’t feel like they’re focussing on being a high class establishment anymore but the stay was comfortable enough."

"Sophie and Paul were most gracious hosts; genuinely kind and friendly and eager to make my stay enjoyable. The breakfasts were excellent, made with fresh ingredients and prepared as their guests preferred. I would definitely stay here again. "

"Bathroom was clean, though pillows had make-up stains on and the heating was only turned on when we arrive so took a while to warm up. Staff friendly when we arrived. it is above a pretty noisy pub with inside steps from the pub or a fire escape style staircase from outside. Could hear a couple having an arguemnt on the street below as well. All in all, convenient if needing to be in area but not one if you need somewhere a bit more accessible or quiet."
