"Nice hotel good facilities could do with updating and redecorating throughout, nails in the wall where pictures have been taken down but not replaced, no towels ready at the spa she said she’d bring some in but we ended up having to go out and ask for some, paint needing touchups and general aging, et cetera. Lovely grounds and breakfast was average."

"If you’re disabled or just an older guest beware the rooms have not been reviewed by an appropriate person. I found the bathroom a death trap. No grab rails in the shower but the worst was the slippery floor in the toilet with nothing to grab onto when struggling to arise from the toilet. My husband had to help me but not before on making an attempt my feet slipped and I finished up with a nasty fall and a now painful back. At 2am I had to ring reception I was frozen- the radiator didn’t work and I couldn’t sleep the duvet was Summer weight, I had my coat on the bed and wearing tights and cardigan. Eventually I decided to contact reception or go home. The young man sorted my problem and brought me a portable heater and mended the radiator. He was very pleasant. The phone of course didn’t work I had to use my mobile. Otherwise the room had a lovely view and was large and I’d love to return . The staff were very helpful and pleasant, I feel it fair to warn other future guests. "
