"This is a fabulous hotel. The staff, location and the breakfast is so good. Second stay, and my negative is the air conditioning in the rooms is not adequate. We've tried the French balacony sauna room, the bathtub room and a standard room, yes in summer, but all too warm for us. First stay they were kind to lend a fan."

"Great location, very friendly staff, the amenities in the room could’ve been better like body soap in the shower, extra towels and free bottles of water. The front of the hotel needs a ramp or staff that helps you climb all the steps with your luggage."

"The location is great, property is clean, the staff were nice and friendly. The only reason for 1 less star is that the property needs updating, by that I mean stained carpets, and it just appears a bit worn out so to speak."

"We had a great stay at this former-prison turned into a hotel. Our room was clean and inviting, and the check-in was smooth. Two HUGE pluses for this hotel: 1. GREAT location! It’s a 15-minute walk to Senate Square and the Cathedral, and there is a tram stop LITERALLY right outside the hotel gate! 2. FREE DINNER as well as breakfast! Lots of hotels give you a free “breakfast” these days…sometimes they make that claim even if they have a coffee machine and set out a loaf of break. Home Hotel served a very tasty hot breakfast, and also SERVES DINNER each night….included with your room! Finally, they also offer a UNIQUE experience. The hotel is a converted prison…thick walls, small windows and doors. They even still keep some of the bars and gates on display. Very unique setup and experience (don’t miss the isolation cell downstairs!). Overall, we had a very good experience, and I would quite happily stay here again."
