"I was in town for a wedding and instead of going with the room block at the local hotel, I chose this place instead. I love staying in historic homes and this one was one of the best I have ever stayed in. Not only are the accommodations on point: cozy, comfortable and lots of attention to detail, but the hosts are amazing. Stay with Keri, Pete and their dog Maggie. You will not be disappointed. And they serve a great breakfast! It was a fab getaway spot for the weekend."

"This hotel/motel is in a smaller town. I'd call it quiet, except there's a railroad line nearby if you're sensitive to that type of noise. There wasnt a high volume of trains at night. The decor/building is a bit on the countey shabby side, but everything was clean and the beds neatly made. There is a hot tob and pool, but we did not utilize them. There is free coffee but there is not breakfast/food. However, there is a restaurant that adjoins the parking lot. We chose to bring our own grocery store breakfast. The town is less than 1000 people and felt very safe. It's an easy drive to Horicon Marshm Horicon, Juneau, and Beaver Dam (where we were visiting friends)."

Very nice visit!

"Very convenient location. Reasonable price for a clean comfortable room. Location was great and the little town was nice to visit. We were there to see the Horicon Marsh. The manager was concerned about the storm that hit. The tornado sirens were going off. She let us know safety spots in hotel."

Only choice in a storm

"We had to bail on a drive north because of a really bad snow storm and could barely make it past the next exit so this was our next best option over spending time in a ditch. We booked through hotels.com about 30 mins before we made it there, so I understand not necessarily knowing we were coming. When we arrived, the office was locked with a note directing us to call the person on duty. He was very prompt in coming over. It was odd however that he didn’t actually know how much to charge me, and relied on me telling him what I paid (so I guess I could have made up anything?). We then were given a room that wasn’t what we paid for (about $15 different) but my friend and I were so tired we didn’t bother saying anything. While extremely dated, with choice coverings of defects, the bed was clean and we had a decent nights sleep. It was definitely a higher price point than what we got but it was the only choice we had in the storm. "
