Hello Alison I am sorry to hear of the shortage of cups etc, like everyone we are having trouble getting staff and training them to do what is needed due to the COVID situation. We are one of many in the hospitality section having to deal with this. I wish you had rung down or notified reception and we could have rectified this as unless notified and until housekeeping staff trained up we need the guests feedback which we immediately follow up so we thank you. We do not wish to have disappointed or guests not supplied in their rooms properly. I hope you will come back again later to see how we have rectified all and in the meantime the staff of Manly Waves Accommodation wish you and your family a Merry Xmas and Happy New Year.

Looking at the bookings and if I am correct another room internally was booked and you were moved to our standard room and as for the cable to the air coditioner if that had a plug on it outside it could have been brought into the room and the window closed safely it was put outside as a guest would leave the air con on when out all day and did not heed requests I believe I am correct in finding anonymous booking, We try to accommodate all our guests and if correct if your wife did not like that room I apologise for she would not have liked the original room booked and we were fully booked that weekend and we have many happy and returning guests due to our pricing especially at the weekends. So as I am working slightly blindfolded due to no names on this review it does not help the hotel follow up and I have to access as much as possible where I can if incorrect on this I apologise.

Hello, Richard the Hotel due to COVID-19 virus has had its renovations put back and we offer good rates in Manly around this I hope this will help in your review as we are aware of what needs to be done. CIrcumstances like all businesses are currently in tourism doing the best they can do to stay afloat and not what they would like to do.

Hello Anonymous the property is older yes as for flies ants and bugs they are prominent in Australia especially in warm weather unless you do not like windows open. We are in a great location and we have if you review Manly Designer studios renovated another totally different arm of the business. We are cost competive to allow guests to come and enjoy Manly and our location and we show all our photos clearly. we only currently have a hotel rating of 2.5 stars. Yet we are a warm relaxed family environment for our guests and many appreciate fully these factors. We always take our guests feedback on deck and although older property we do clean every day properly. we hope you will come back and revisit us.

Hello Sal, I am sorry you were disappointed we clearly state we have LIMITED off street parking and we are one of the lucky. You booked during a really busy period a double room and we can only upgrade to the rooms available. We take your comments re the door seriously to be looked at as all guests before and since in this busy competition months have never reported this nor have the cleaners had trouble getting into the room either.

Hello Joe I thank you for your review, we have taken on board your comments however all our guests have been more than happy with that room and we clean on check out but the cleaners have been reviewed on all your points. However as stated on our booking sites not all of our rooms have air conditioning and you had a fan which although cleaned regularly with the ongoing storms and dust from the road it can easily accumulate dirt or dust as can the room if the windows are open as does my room and fan. You booked a 2.5star hotel and the standard room on the ground floor for the price in a busy time and this is a question of your perception neither right nor wrong just yours and others love that room so you see as they do I will let others decide. And it is always booked for the price quite happily older bathroom but its clean

We are aware of the facelift but that takes a lot of scheduling should you wish to return then please see what the new owner has achieved thus far in renovations by checking out Manly Designer Studios. The Manly Designer Studios are worth looking at to see the renovations that are intended for the hotel but it all takes time, come and stay there in one of them. This is a small family business and cost-wise we always against the expensive manly area meet the costs equal to our competitors so that all can come, but in the busy season yes prices everywhere in Manly go up for accommodation, but we hope that you enjoyed your stay and we hope to welcome you back again.

Unfortunately we deal with all items but as you have not given a name we cannot look at the room. Unfortunately cockroaches at this time of year are in manly and Australia others fly in and we professional spray exteriors and interiors of the hotel but they come where there is moisture warmth and food. As for uncomfortable to stay in this your perspective neither right nor wrong and does not match others that happily stayed here. So I let others decide.

All your comments and feedback are valued as we can immediately act on the shower and the toilet but if not told we do not know the maintenance. As for the bathrooms the whole hotel is scheduled around guests for renovations especially the bathrooms but this all takes time and scheduling but we hope you will come back and see the renovations some time.

Thank you for your review we do however state that we have limited off street parking and you can reserve if available or safely park in the wide residential street. All know that there is a parking problem in Manly unless metered and or paying other hotels $55.00 per night. As for noisy we do try to keep the guest hopefuly to respect other guests and we do when on duty or if a complaint try to get them to respect the other guests. As for shortage of anything in the room through housekeeping human error we follow up on this so thank you for letting us know but any guest missing anything all they have to do is contact reception for it to be dealt with.

thank you for your review Brian the hotel has history and built a long time ago which does make it old but as it is currently being renovated slowly but surely we hope if you are in manly you will book our Manly Designer Studios to see the effect we intend for the rest of the hotel. All rooms for the rare really cold snaps do have heaters.

Hello Frank under the current owner of the business is undertaking major renovations some have been done and throughout winter it will continue but as you would understand this takes time and scheduling but when completed it will be something so we hope we can greet you again in the future and you can see the renovations yourself. I am sorry the guest was disappointed but without the knowledge of why and what happened any complaints or upsets if not dealt with the guest to accommodate them are unable to be reviewed as we take the all our guests comments seriously. But this is currently a 2.5star hotel the guest booked in Manly which is a very expensive area I would have liked it if the guest could have given the reasons for the ratings and the room they stayed in so management could review all the disappointments unfortunately this not able to be done and new ownership is undergoing renovations through the winter season in all areas of the business

Hi Vadim, we always value feedback. Are you sure that you have the correct Hotel and State, as Geckos are not found in NSW? They are native to the NT and QLD and are only found in tropical climates, not in Sydney. That aside, contrary to you thoughts on the demolition of our Hotel (if it was us), the Hotel is under NEW Management and we are excited about the work we have ahead of us for our upcoming Refurbishment, which we are approaching one room at a time. We hope that you would consider coming back to stay with us in the future.

I am sorry you were disappointed unfortunately Manly and the Northern beaches are as the residents know renound for coackroaches during certain season and although we regularly spray both the outside of the Hotel and the inside we do all we can. Room service only enters to refresh or maintenance if you have made a report other than that no one enters your room. With regards to the rest of your review as it is anonymous and does not let us know what you are in it does not help us to review any problems. This is a 2.5 star hotel that you booked and we offer affordable prices to stay in our beautiful Manly during the summer season and as under new ownership we are in the process of renovations around guests to make this grand old lady shine. We have so many happy guests that value the character of the hotel the costing and the location so it is just a question of perspective. Had we been told of the bathroom lock that would have gone immediately to maintenance in the busy season of xmas to have been fixed however if you do not report it or them that you are unhappy about then we have no knowledge of the problems We wish you a happy new year.
