"We found this location by chance. We had a minor issue with the toilet not working (hotel was being renovated.) The manager was exceptional, going far above and beyond what she had to do. She came from home in the middle of the night to try to fix the issue. I believe the issue was most likely related to faulty installation by the construction crew. Even though we never got the toilet working, the place was undergoing renovationsโ€ฆ..I could not possibly recommend a better place to stay. Under any circumstances. Iโ€™m sure all the relevant issues were quickly resolved the following day. This place and staff are an absolute gem. The staff went out of their way to be kind to us, on a level that Iโ€™d never seen. Excellent, genuinely kind and considerate people. I genuinely hope that the next time, and every time, Iโ€™m in the area I get the opportunity to stay here. Absolutely wonderful."

"This hotel was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The check-in was quick and the breakfast in the morning had a wide variety of choices and what we had was hot and tasty. We used the pool this time and both the pool deck and its adjoining bathrooms were spotless. My son used the workout room and said it was clean as well. We would stay here again."

"We had stayed here before some years ago and like to stay at properties with some history, like this collection of log cabins on the National Register of Historic Places and the oldest lodging in Pinedale. The cabin was cozy but note the bathroom is in one of the bedrooms which might be a turnoff for some. The hosts left oatmeal, coffee and cocoa packets (but only two and there were four of us). Only negatives were a smelly shower curtain and less then ideal cleanliness in the bathroom, and the kitchen sink strainer was nasty. Pinedale is just about 90 minutes (and a lot cheaper for everything from gas to food to lodging) south of hyperexpensive Jackson, so it makes for a good stop on the way to or from Jackson and Grand Teton and Yellowstone NPs to the north. Also, there are beautiful lakes in the nearby national forest, abundant wildlife (we saw a doe mule deer and fawn right outside our cabin), and opportunities for water sports, hunting, fishing, birding, and hiking very nearby and much less crowded than the national parks."
