Dear Sandra, thank you for your review. We appreciate your respect to our policies. A letter with travel to Taboga and back information as well as our check in check out times, pool pules and hotel policies are send to all our guests with the booking confirmation. Room insurance deposit of $100 per room is required on check in. We do encourage our guests to leave the deposit in cash as banks charge for every transaction if card is used. You booked 2 rooms so your room insurance was $200. No food or drink and is allowed at the pool for health and safety reasons and of cause we expect our guest to respect the other guests and not play loud music. Dear Manuel, thank you for your review. We are surprised with some of your negative comments as we do it all to fulfill all our guests’ requests, making feel relaxed and comfortable. We upgraded your room, found an European adaptor for charger, opened your own bottle of wine, free of corking charge and allowed extra time in the room. You both we welcomed with our honest smiles, services, advice and guidance on leisure times and available food and restaurants in Taboga. Yes we request $100 room insurance deposit which is returned on checkout after room inspection if there is no damage or items missing. This is common practice in the hotels. You may remember, on your arrival you asked for an upgrade on room, from Morning Breeze no5, $110 a night to Pure Opulence no7, romantic front sea view room with an extra large balcony and queen size bed. We advised about an extra cost as the room you picked was priced at $143 a night. You were both happy to prepay $33. You also requested an extra time in your room which we advised you would cost additional $10 per hour or part off, again normally this is charged straight away when requested. As a curtsey we did not charge the full amount for this. As I mentioned at the time, we offer to store our guests’ luggage until departure time for free. But you advised us the cost of $10 per hour was not a problem. As you had not paid in advance for those updates, we deducted it from the room insurance deposit. The pool was being used by our other guests and they commented how clean and how fantastic it was. Hopefully in the future when you come back to our hotel our restaurant will also be open for you.
