The staff was lovely, however this does not make up for the grounds nor does it make up for the run down rooms, linens, and overalll appearance of the property & its rooms. Every towel, every day, was tattered or torn. Bedsheets had holes in them. The property is extremely run down, not properly maintained, every stone & exterior decor is dirty and ungroomed. The outdoor water sources do not have water movement, so the water is stagnate. The back of the facility smells of sewer. The rooms are very dark & not well cleaned. They advertise "pillow top" mattresses, they provide pillow top toppers, on request, and they do not add comfort. The gym is deplorable. No space, old equipment that is rusted, no cleaning supplies to wipe down mats or equipment. The breakfast bar containers are not washed daily, the condiments are just topped up.

Nice hotel, food needs help
Pros: really lush property, comfortable rooms with balconies, nice pool area, nice breakfast area. You can walk into town and to the beach which is great. Cons: the food is pretty terrible. Breakfast is good, but we ordered pad thai and a curry at dinner, and it was almost flavorless and no spice at all, not even a hint. Lots of europeans, so we wondered if they watered down the flavors to try and cater to that?

It was beautiful, from the rooms to the grounds. Very peaceful with a view to the hills beyond. Good pool and very friendly drinks sevice there too. Short walk to the beach, though its best walking a little further along to find the pergect spots.

Wow what can I say what an experience we loved it, upon arrival till departure we loved it all, the staff, room, everything was on point. It was our 10 year anniversary and the hotel staff went out of their way to make sure we had a remember able stay, it was shocking and well worth it. Did definitely say here again...

Our room was huge, very clean and with a terrace. The floors are raised off ground level though so you can hear everyone when they are walking about as they are very creaky. If you want peace and quiet, this is the place for you as the bar takes last orders around 10.30. There is a main strip a walk away with bars and restaurants though. Food excellent, staff lovely, setting beautiful. I can highly recommend it.

Staff were all very friendly and accommodating from check-in to check-out. We were really impressed with our rooms overall and consider this hotel to be great value for money. Buffet breakfast was fantastic with a great selection of items. We also had the Thai Buffet dinner and that was also fantastic. We even managed a few massages and found this to be very relaxing. My only comment would be the water pressure in the shower was very soft but overall very impressed with our stay.

Great resort by the beach
A great resort just by the beach. Friendly service, an excellent breakfast buffet of fresh food options, a comfortable room with a cosy bed and all of the amenities. A feature of the stay was an excellent soul resetting Thai massage... a little more expensive than the options down by the beach but the ambience of the Bhandari spa made it worth every Baht.

Great resort in Khao Lak
We stayed here for a week and had zero issues the entire time. The resort is intimate and just off the main road so there is not much traffic or noise pollution but close enough to any restaurants. The facility itself is well maintained, the mattresses and pillows were very firm, and AC was powerful. Wifi was powerful, we had no issue connecting wherever we were. The staff is very friendly, the service is prompt and whenever we had a special request, it was met promptly. Daily breakfast buffett is nice, has western eggs, pancakes, toast, meats, salad bar, fruit, and Asian delights like rotating curry, stir fry, noodles, and soup. The beach is right across the street. There is only one pool that is medium size, I could imagine at capacity the pool area would become full pretty quick. If you're okay staying in Khao Lak then this is probably one of the best value and well-run resorts in town. If you're more adventurous and plan to spend a majority of your time off resort, I would recommend staying farther north which is a little more vibrant.

Relaxing Bhandari
Traditional Thai Resort . We had a Bungalow surrounded by lush vegetation and water features . Great experience at this Resort . Stall are all extremely welcoming and efficient . We were sorry to leave and will come here again . Breakfast was varied and really good .

Overall.... Will stay again.
Loved the green environment, the Thai style bunglow was cozy and welcoming. The hotel was a bit dated but still in good condition. It is a walk across to the beach and what we loved most is the convenience to the super market, some shopping and good food.

Fabulous stay
I travelled with a group of friends for 6 days of fun and relaxation and we couldn't have been happier with our trip. We booked early and got a really good rate with Expedia which included 30% of Spa treatments and 10% off food & beverages. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. My only complaint was that the AC was loud and rather aggressive but i'm not a fan AC, my room mate thought it was great! The pool area is lovely and the staff are so attentive and friendly. The Spa itself is very good value, even more so with 30% off. I had an excellent Thai massage for just THB400! The breakfast on offer is substantial, fresh and tasty. The general food offering at the hotel is good with the pad thai and massaman curry being particularly good. The hotel is not on the beach but it is only a short walk away. Location wise it is in a good spot in Khao Lak with some very good restaurants and bars nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and I would definitely return!

Good hotel, well positioned, close to everything.
We originally booked a single room which we upgraded to a bungalow after the first week. Really enjoyed our stay especially after the upgrade. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Our family stayed at The Sands (just up the road) but would probably have preferred Bhandari as it was much smaller and certainly much more a Thai experience whereas The Sands was huge and much more modern but just didn't feel Thai and could have been anywhere in the world. Meals were excellent with a wide variety of Thai and European food available at typical cheap prices. Pool was very good and family friendly with ample lounges readily available.

Ideal location for a great relaxing holiday.
Great hotel in a superb location. The staff at reception who booked us in appeared new to role and struggled to provide basic information. However, the other staff in pool bar, breakfast area and the girls who cleaned the rooms were all very friendly and attentive. Hotel in pretty good state of repair, wood starting to need reprinting in places but doesn't distract from your wonderful stay. Pool area great, always plenty of sun beds. Beach across the road, takes less than 5 minutes to get there so no big issue.

Nice bungalows in this hotel
We stayed in a bungalow which is very well equipped and laid out. The bed and especially the bedding is very comfortable and clean. My husband loved the fishes in the pond and the gardens surrounding the hotel. It is a few minuted to the beach, and about a 10 minute walk to the main road. Restaurants and bars are all nearby.

Must visit!
This was our favorite hotel and area to stay at in Thailand out of Phuket, Krabi, and Bangkok. Such a beautiful jungle hotel with amazing views and rooms. Right across a small street to get to a beautiful quite beach. Absolutely beautiful hotel!

Lovely hotel, room was spacious and clean. Lovely view of the gardens. Breakfast was good. Pool area looked lovely but we didn't use it. Spent more time than normal in the room as it rained for the 2 days we were there but did not mind as it was so nice. Very close to beach and not far from shops, bars and restaurants.

WONDERFUL PLACE WITH CARING STAFF
We were very ill during our 20 night stay and the staff took such good are of us from calling out the doctor to driving us to the Pharmacy with the hotels vehicle to bringing our breakfast to us in our room when we were to ill to go to breakfast, which were absolutely superb. The breakfast staff are especially friendly and kind. Wish we could have actually had a holiday but our gorgeous Thai Bungalow was turned into a Hospital ward. May was the lady that cleaned up our Bungalow everyday and she was lovely. Dan & KaeCy were also so helpful, the Restaurant Manager always enquiring about our health. Such a Beautiful Hotel with lovely pool area and the bit we saw of the gardens was lovely. We had 2 Pet Indian Miner birds, a cat and a Squirrel that regularly came to visit. Can't say enough about this stunning place & it's staff. Thank you so much to all of you - I hope we will be back to actually enjoy our stay with you.

The hotel is in a good location in Nang Thong. Many of the staff were very good but others not so. The buffet breakfast was a decent standard. The condition of the hotel was reasonable, it has certainly seen better days. Out of 5 hotels I had stayed in on this trip it was the only hotel to charge for bottle water in the rooms. A minor point to many but to me reflective of the general standard of the hotel.

Great but avoid the Pool Bar
A great, comfortable hotel. One negative- My partner and I attended happy hour but they had put whisky in a rum bottle and served this to us. When questioned, their reply was "but i saw it come out of the bottle" and charged us. Better to avoid spirits and cocktails at the pool bar :(

Relaxing Garden and Spa setup
Hotel with a nice garden and Spa setup but no direct access to the beach. There are no deck chairs to be rented on the beach, the beach is quite narrow. Spa experience excellent and very nice and well trained masseurs. The chalets are quite noisy, hardly any noise cancellation between rooms and floors. You should go for the bungalow and make sure you get one on the side to have some privacy.

Great location and close to beach!
We liked our stay, everything was good in the hotel and the location - the main street with shops and restaurants was nearby, very convenient to get anywhere, also the national park was within walking distance. If in doubt - choose this hotel and you won't regret it :)

This is a cheap hotel. You get what you pay for. Left 3 days early and checked into a decent hotel. The reviewers which state that this is a good hotel are at best easily impressed or at their worst simply misleading.

This hotel is being used by travel companies, making it very busy and impossible to get a sunbed round the pool. Other guests reserve their beds before breakfast so we only managed to get a bed after 3pm. A very disappointing experience.

Quiet and relaxing.
It was a nice stay. I only spent one night at the hotel. Staff were all nice, smiley and caring. The hotel is not adjacent to the beach but connectible just across the street. It is quiet yet accessible to town where there are variety of restaurants and bars. I would come back again.

Everything about the resort was wonderful, great accomodating staff, awsome pool and terrific breakfast. Our room, a chalet, was very large, a lilttle away from the pool with quite a lot of steps but peaceful and suited us fine. We travel with a three year old and this was a great place for her too. Only downside was the lunch, much better places up the road.

Beautiful setting
We loved our garden cottage and the lush foliage was a delight. Staff were pleasant and mostly friendly but you need to work everything out yourself because of the language barrier. The breakfast offered plenty of choices but was of average quality. One thing that did concern us was lack of security, there were drunken guests in the pool at 2am one morning and no one controlled the situation even though reception is open 24hrs and is alongside the pool. I have to say that overall this was a peaceful and very pretty resort....it just needs to address the above issues. We would return.

A really relaxing break in Khao Lak. Great breakfast, superb staff, and a spacious room (though ground level is not as nice as the upstairs due to the mosquitos!).
