Peace, quiet, and natural beauty
We stayed at The Mouth Resort for 8 days. It is a really nice place - everything spotlessly clean and in great shape. The beds were very comfortable. It is quiet, inland off the main road, with lots of plants and a small stream. We probably saw more birds sitting outside here than we did visiting Khao Sok and the mangrove forest. The owner/host is nice and very helpful. The price is great for what you get. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay that feels like you are in nature, with bird song, frogs croaking, cicadas, etc., this is the place. But there's not much in easy walking distance (though we liked the Happy Snapper 2.0 restaurant), so if you stay here, you'll either want to rent something or be prepared to pay for taxis - a trivial cost compared to staying somewhere near the beach. We're not beach/party folks, so I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

The Mouth is an unusual name for an unusually wonderful place to stay. The cottages are imaculate. The grounds are immaculate. The breakfasts are truly outstanding. The on-location owners are wonderful. If you want peace and quiet, this should be your first choice in the Lhao Lak area.

Wonderful secluded bungalows in a beautiful train forest setting with bubbling creek and plunge pool. Owners and staff go above and beyond to ensure memorable stay. Individually cooked breakfasts with fruit platter are delicious and refreshing. Housekeeping does an immaculate job. A peaceful sense of isolation with separate bungalows and main strip work bars, restaurants, shops and markets 2km away. Will definitely return.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Mouth Resort. The family that runs the place is so kind and helpful. Mama cooks up an amazing breakfast as well! The resort was incredibly clean and well managed. We really liked the ability to rent the scooter as well directly from them. Such a friendly family that really makes you feel taken care of. They also have two absolutely adorable dogs and a cat!

Hidden little gem close enough to walk to town but back far enough from the road for a quiet night’s sleep. Immaculately clean with everything in the room appearing to be brand new. Friendly and enjoyable proprietor who made us a nice breakfast of fresh fruit, toast, coffee, and an omelet. If you are looking to save some money while still having a nice place to stay, this is it.

This is an exceptional property. The bungalows are extremely clean and comfortable and the property is immaculate. The gardens are beautifully designed and enjoyable. The owners are attentive and extremely friendly. Breakfast was included and prepared fresh and tasty We highly recommend this location with easy access to pristine beaches if you have car or motorbike. Massage, restaurants, shopping are within walking distance.

Memorable Stay
We had an amazing time staying here. The family was so kind and it was easy to get everywhere we wanted to go. The owner gave us a lot of advice about the best places to go and even got us a huge discount on our day trip to The Surin Islands! Also she has a cute dog.

The most picturesque, jungle-type accommodation, not too far from the beach. The owners were lovely and provide a cheap moped which I would highly recommend getting to explore the area, they also give you tips on where to go etc. Self contained, cleaned everyday, there were pineapples growing outside our room and you could hear gibbons call out in the morning! In my eyes, the best place to stay in this area and at an amazing price

Great little family run resort
The Mouth Resort is a little family run resort located 20 min walk from Kaho Lak center. It includes 8 bungalows and small reception, breakfast area. Bungalows are basic but nice and very clean with good working aircon, little fridge, tv with good choice of channels. Comfortable big bed. Toilets are good size and showers are nice and warm. Bungalows are located in stunning garden area with beautiful plants: banana tree, pineapples, orange, lime grass. Singing birds in the morning, crickets at nights plus wonderful green gardens make this place heaven on earth. There is also tiny swimming pool where you can relax. Sunbeds are not an issue as there are only a few people in the resort. Breakfasts are simple however you can request bacon, eggs, sausage etc or alternatively toast and jam. Everything always fresh and tasty. Good choice of local fruits. Hotel is run by a family of wonderful and friendly people who are really helpful organising your time, booking trips, recommending attractions around. Good advantage is that you can rent a scooter there for good price and travel around. If you like the nature, happy to meet locals, looking for quiet quality place where you can reset your mind and you dont mind a bit of walk to town centre

The perfect home away from home!
Absolutely wonderful! We had our own little bungalow, which was clean and well kept with a great ac unit. It wasn’t far from all the action but also not right in the middle of town either, so noise at night was not an issue. They made us a really great breakfast every morning. The woman who runs the place was so kind to us. She made our time at The Mouth Resort extra special. We will definitely be back!

Quiet Oasis!
10 minute walk to town or short motorbike ride. Excellent service from the this family owned small property. Grounds are immaculate. Rooms are well kept and good amenities. Free toast and beverage in mornings. Staff extremely helpful in planning your day, transport, or excursion. Highly recommend.

Oerhört mysigt!
Det är ett jätte fint familjeägt. Det finns en pool, kylskåp och frukost om man vill. Sängen var jätte hård, men annars var allt bra. Det ligger lite avlägset så man måste hyra moppe om man inte vill gå i ca 20 min. Moppen tar ca 5 min till matmarknad. Vi var enbart där för att dyka så vi behövde enbart ett billigt ställe att sova på och det här stället var perfekt.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Ein kleines bescheidenes Zimmer, welches komplett ausreicht. Die besitzer des Hotels sind total freundlich. Bei der Verständigung gibt es manchmal probleme da das englisch nicht ganz so gut ist. Aber das wichtige kann gut komuniziert werden. Würden nochmals gehen!

Charmant endroit, calme et verdoyant!
Nous avons passé 4 nuits dans ce charmant établissement. Les bungalows sont grands et confortables, le site est magnifique et verdoyant, mais c’est surtout les propriétaires qui sont le plus attachants. L’anglais n’est pas parfait, mais on réussit toujours à se comprendre, ça fait partie du plaisir de voyager! Petit déjeuner au choix de la cuisinière, nous avons eu droit à deux plats thaïs et deux plats plus nord-américains. Endroit à recommander, très bon rapport qualité prix!

Nature ,calme , et très bon marché .
Bon Hotel dans un cadre verdoyant et reposant .A quelques minutes à pieds de la ville mais sans ses inconvénients .Locations de scooter sur place .Chalets indépendants sans voisinage direct . Nous reviendrions ici sans aucune hésitation .

Absolut und ohne Einschränkung zu empfehlen
absolut empfehlenswert ! Die Anlage wurde lt. Personal erst Ende 2014 fertiggestellt, dementsprechend ist alles sehr neu und schön angelegt. Das Personal war immer freundlich und hilfsbereit. Uns wurde von der netten Dame angeboten, uns in die Stadt zu fahren (30 Baht pro Person), wir haben Regenschirme geliehen bekommen, unsere Wäsche wurde gewaschen, als einer krank war, wurde gefragt, ob wir etwas aus der Apotheke benötigen und als wir um einen Tag verlängern wollten war dies ebenso unkompliziert. Dieses Resort für diesen Preis war mit Abstand das Beste auf unserer Reise und gleichzeitig das Billigste. Ohne jede Einschränkung weiter zu empfehlen !!!! Wenn es einen Nachteil zu nennen gibt, dann nur, dass das Resort bisher kaum noch jemand kennt, da es so neu ist, und es daher oftmals etwas länger gedauert hat, Taxifahrern zu erklären wo sie hinfahren müssen. Ansonsten TOP ! Ich werde es sicherlich beim nächsten Trip wieder buchen.

kindly people and quiet place
It s a charming place with several bungalows in a greeny garden people are very nice,they bring you some fruits almost everyday,the room is tall and very clean,remake every day with new towels its at the foot the mountain covered of jungle,quiet with the sounds of animals,the road is near but you don't hear it they Suggest you to rent mmotocycles,book a private taxi for the airport or anything else normally,for high season a bungalow with air conditionning is at 1300bath,we stay 7 fulllfull days for only 6000bath we rent a motocycle for 200 bath per day during 6 full days,no problems during our stay in this beautiful place with so nice and kindly thai people just a rip, don t broke anything in the bathroom,like the recipient of soap....350bath...oupss ☺ i recommend this place
