"You can’t beat being in the Grand Canyon forest! We did enjoy staying there, but you can tell Yavapai Lodge needs some updating. The halls were stinky, and we saw a roll away bed for another room that was in terrible condition. However, the room was in pretty good shape. It had some recent updates, though I wondered about the carpet. We loved the soaps and lotions provided in wall mounted dispensers. The sink is old and very low. We had to bend over to use it. The bathtub was old too. It is very loud from the hallway too. Need to find solutions to the noise coming under the doorway. Having said all that, I’d stay there again. It’s just not a 5 star hotel.
One other thing to mention is that we used the self check-in and self check-out stations. They worked great. Just weird not talking to even one person.
They could use some improvement to the cafeteria food. It was expensive and not very desirable. The bar food was better. "

"There was no water pressure for hot water so we had to take a cold shower. The beds upstairs are literally a mat on the floor that you cant even stand up in. Also, they provide a keurig and coffee cups, but no coffee. For the price, not worth it should have just went with a hotel. "

"Rooms A/C system was not working for several days of our stay with room temperatures reaching 80 degrees.
Parking is atrocious requiring half mile walks to an open parking space. All hotel parking is open to day visitors leaving hotel guest to find remote lots on their own and walk great distances."
