A nice hotel
The hotel is conveniently located right next to a shopping mall. Hotel staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. We like the room we had, very spacious and comfy. We’ve stay here before and will definitely come back again.

Great location and good breakfast
The location is great, but hotel does not provide daily cleaning. I run out tolet paper, and trash can does not clean for two days.

Dirty rooms with broken lights and heavily stained carpets. The only highlight was the staff. Had issues with the laundry service as well . They don’t know the services they offer then tried to overcharge me. Will never stay here again. The rooms in the pictures is not what you get.

Overall, I do like to stay at this hotel. Especially breakfast was one of the great options to have. If a guest loves to have hot tub showers, might have to consider another hotel. Plus for winter, the room did not have any heater, therefore, something to think about. But overall, great stay and a great hotel.

The hotel is clean and luxurious, has fantastic view of the city, next to a large mall. Room is large, has an office area with printer. Bathroom is also large with shower and tub. Very nice room complete with bathrobs and slippers.

If you need to stay in Taoyuan, then stay here.
We stayed for 3 nights. The only complaint I have is the breakfast buffet choices and quality are not even close to good as the Novatel Taoyuan Aiport hotel. But compared to the location, the Monarch hotel is much better. The cost for a taxi or shuttle to the airport is around 240nt to Terminal 1 or 300nt to Terminal 2. Their japanese restaurant Tsubusa was pretty good. Their sukiyaki was quite large in comparison to America. Our dinner cost under $100usd and that is considered a lot in Taiwan, but compared to where we live it would cost at least twice that much with tip. So all in all, it was good value to us. The breakfast buffet is the only item I would ask them to improve. 1) some of the items seemed to be leftovers from previous days; 2) some of the items are cold when they are suppose to be hot; 3) even the made to order omelettes are not made how you request it. Because of this, I took 1 star away.

Bad service, bad experience. Tried to check in at 1pm, the staff said your room is still cleaning up. Then, I came back at 5pm, they told me their staff is fixing the safe box and asked me to wait 5-10 mins. After 15 mins, I asked how long I have to wait. I complained that the check in time supposed to be 3:30pm. Why don’t you give me another room instead. Then, they finally gave me the room key after 5pm.
