"Lovely clean room, excellent staff, great kitchen. BUT… green light in room not conducive to good sleep, and the fire alarm went off at midnight, after which the excitement seemed to evoke some guests to chat and laugh through the night until 3am, then the same group of four men woke up and continued their frivolities from 5:30am until they left just after 7am. Not the staff’s fault. But the sound proofing is poor."

"Our room was clean and quiet and a good size. There was a fan provided as it was extremely hot when we stayed! The hotel has ample parking which is a real bonus. There is a lovely terrace which leads down to a park by the river. It is a short walk to the centre of town where there are a number of cafes and pubs serving food. The hotel also has a restaurant.
I would recommend checking whether a wedding is taking place when booking as this meant the terrace was out of bounds for a time and it was not possible to get a drink at the bar which, after a day of walking in extreme heat, we really needed."
"The room was not the largest they had but we knew that when we booked, this was our choice as only staying one night - clean and well equipt just a bit of a squeeze moving round the room and more so around the shower room. Booking into the hotel and also getting taken to your table for evening meal was a little difficult on both occasions as the 'reception' is in the bar and staff are busy serving customers drinks - however not a big problem... food was good both the evening meal and breakfast. Not the hotels fault but our room was at the front and near some trees and local birds were very noisy early morning."
"We were very impressed with the room. It was clean and well equipped and a good temperature, considering the heatwave outside. The check in staff were very helpful, as were the bar staff.
Breakfast was plentiful, though we were disappointed at the lack of black pudding, as it was shown in the photo gallery. The only real negative was that the prices shown in the email sent prior to arrival asking us to enhance our stay were incorrect, as VAT wasn’t included. A small thing but unnecessary.
Overall a very good experience and good value."
"Two night stay. Checked in and was given a room without AC which I knew I would struggle with, but a quick trip to reception and I was moved to a room with AC. Room was very clean, with everything you need. There was a socket that looked a little dangerous as was hanging off the wall but didn't affect my stay. Decent breakfast with a lot of choice. The outstanding thing for me was the staff. Each and every one of them were friendly and helpful on what appeared a very busy weekend for them. I would certainly stay again if I needed a hotel I that area."
