"Not what i was expecting for $273 USD. The furniture and accessories were cheap or old (apart from a brand new refrigerator). There was construction right next to our room and our view consisted of a few trees, a tired, old, swimming pool some distant mountains and a giant construction site. The room is not regularly used as evidenced by the dusty cabinets, few amenities and a broken jacuzzi tub. The hotel is understaffed and distant. "Beautiful property to stay at. The grounds are very well maintained. Beautiful pool (unheated but nice and cool on a hot day!). Wonderful coffee shop. Very nice restaurant (I used for breakfasts). The architecture of the newer buildings (restaurant, coffee shop, tea house) is really nice and modern and fits wonderfully in with the rustic feel and look of the old tobacco barns. "This is a moderately priced resort overlooking the Ping River about 1/2 hour outside of Chiang Mai. Our family of four only spent one night but enjoyed the small pool and view from our veranda. The gardens are lovely, room was spacious and well appointed, and the staff very helpful. Breakfast, included in the tariff, was very generous, though dinner service was a bit slow. They have three one-person kayaks and several basic bicycles (all free) if you wish to paddle on the river or pedal a few...

"The unit has a dining area, the bedroom and the bathroom are large. The big pond by the restaurant adds to the ambiance. Food items they have on menu are cheap but delicious. The owners are very helpful although they can only speak Thai. The only issue is that the location is away from the amenities of the city. "
