"The room was clean and the staff was friendly. However, there was a bag of trash left in the hallway for the entire day, which was not pleasant to see. The mattress was not very comfortable, and the property feels old and could use some updates. Overall, it was an okay stay, but there is room for improvement."

"Hotel was absolutely BEAUTIFUL and in a great location. Any type of cuisine you could want is within a 10 minute walk along with lots of restaurants serving up local fare. Staff was super helpful and for a hotel that is over 100 years old, it was very well kept and clean.
Only complaint is that beds are full size, not queen so be sure to pay close attention when booking. I did not and found it difficult for our party of 3 to sleep in only two beds. Staff was amazing about bringing in a twin size roll away when I asked for one... but it unfortunately was also very uncomfortable. And the Starbucks was closed. Those are my only complaints. Otherwise hotel was absolutely BEAUTIFUL and in a great location. We were only there for a weekend but we really enjoyed our stay in Charleston."
