"Friendly staff and lovely rooms "

"The property is in a desirable location. While some areas are slightly dated, the staff more than compensate for this with their knowledge and helpfulness. We would be happy to stay again."

"Very run down. Booked with breakfast included. Was told on arrival they have no food available for any meal time. Gym was filthy. Shower was mouldy. Reception unattended on arrival. Had to look for staff member. When I left at 8:30 the reception was all locked up. No staff around. No receipt for stay. Have emailed but had no response. Travels a lot with work and this is the worst place I have stayed. "

"We had an excellent stay at Whitley Coach House in March. The property had everything we needed for three nights away to explore the area. It was lovely and clean, very comfortable, light, airy and warm. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything needed to prepare home cooked meals. The fridge has a good size freezer above which is very useful if you want to take frozen food with you. There is a good range of cutlery, crockery and glasses, saucepans, oven/roasting tray's. The bed was beautiful, a good size and very comfortable. Better than your average holiday accommodation. There was also an outside area with table and seating which would be great when the weather improves. Check in/out was simple, keys in key safe as advised by host Tim in good time prior to our arrival, along with clear directions on how to get to the property. Parking right outside the Coach House is off road and safe. Only noise we could hear was bird song. Tim was very friendly and provided us with good local knowledge. We were encouraged to call or knock at the main house if we needed anything at all, nothing was too much trouble. "

"We absolutely loved our stay at Cow Byre 1 — it surpassed our expectations. The accommodation felt homely with lots of thoughtful touches, and you can really see the care that’s gone into both the property and the grounds. Our son especially loved the games room and used it every day. It was quiet, in a great location, and we still felt a real sense of space and privacy even though it seemed fully booked. We felt it was very good value for money. The hosts were fantastic — nothing was too much trouble. We’d happily recommend to family and friends."
