"Aiden, the bell hop was the absolute star of the show. All staff were great, but Aiden really stood out. Super friendly and professional at all times. Remembered me by name after just the first encounter and always greeted me by name every time he saw me. Really made me feel at home and welcome. I have only stayed at the Intercontinental in San Salvador, El Salvador before and wondered if my experience here would be just as good. Did NOT disappoint. It is a great brand to stay with. They truly are top notch in their level of service!"

"Easily the worst Thompson I’ve stayed at. Staff was lovely and tried their best, but it’s understaffed to a level I’ve never seen. You can’t get a drink late at night, the only television is at the rooftop bar which only serves bar food (phenomenal smoked wings, but the worst lobster roll I’ve ever had). Breakfast restaurant has good food but nobody to deliver room service so it shows up cold. Never saw more than one person at the check-in desk. Hyatt should just sell this property and start from scratch with a new Thompson."

"I absolutely love the Salamander. For the past two years, every trip to the DMV area requires a stay there. I love the cleanliness of the rooms are comfort of the beds. For the most part, the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. However, during my most recent stay I requested an amenity for my bath via the test messaging service and never received it. I’m not sure if this was a technology issue or if someone simply dropped the ball. Nevertheless, from now on I will call the front desk with any requests rather than utilize the text messaging service."
