"Gaining access was difficulty’s we were given wrong access code to obtain key. Then the central door key code didn’t gain access on 3 separate occasions. One of which people were unable to get out of building when I was trying to gain access from outside. It seemed to work intermittently and certainly needs attention. The cleaning staff were very friendly and replenished tea , coffee and loo roll. A pleasant stay but property requires attention. "

"Bluetooth key app wouldn’t work, room tiny, very old windows that whistled, no telephone in room, sink blocked with hairs! Reception area nice but that’s the only positive "

"Room was huge but a bit dark. Bathroom a little dated - shower didn't maintain a constant temperature and was a bit weak. Absolutely spotless. Had to hunt for a hair towel and tea and coffee facilities. No iron - but there was an ironing board. Staff really friendly and helpful. Great porridge and selection at breakfast. Great location near to town centre with reasonable and safe parking."

"Upon arrival I thought I’d be in a room above a busy pub and noise would be an issue. The rooms, however, are next door and I never heard a thing. Rooms are to a good standard, very clean with comfortable beds. Breakfast was lovely and staff were welcoming and friendly. As a coffee lover I would have loved a real freshly brewed coffee especially at breakfast rather than the sachets but this is a minor quibble. "

"To be the fair this property is undergoing major renovations- and my experience takes this into account as well as the cheap price tag My arrival was quite late but I was greeted and checked in as one would expect. I was shown to my room and became quickly aware that it was very basic and smelled of stale cigarette smoke with tell tale burns in the carpet and fa butt hiding in the kettle.. I was too tired to make a fuss and battled through the night reasonable well until woken by the building site next door, then the window cleaners came and I hit the shower which was hot for 2 mins and then solid cold whatever I did. I dumped my key and ran for the potholed drive . Lesson learned."

"Very well run establishment, helpful staff, the restaurant dinner was well above average pub standard, good choice of fish main courses. Freshly cooked eggs for breakfast made a nice change in addition to fruit and cereal. Safe parking and easy access from the M1. "
