"The rooms are unlocked by a code which is only activated at 4:00 pm, even if the room is ready. So we just sat in the car looking at the room for half an hour, as there is no lobby. The room was very small but clean."

"Good hotel. We have accessibility needs and these were quite well accommodated (door, washroom). The bed is too low but was comfortable. Found the staff to be excellent (the exception was the restaurant, but that’s a separate review). Overall, the property is a bit dated. I think maybe some improvements are underway."

"Très déçu de mon expérience à l’Hôtel Universel. On paie un prix premium en s’attendant à une certaine qualité… mais au final, on se retrouve redirigé vers une chambre régulière sans réelle valeur ajoutée. Franchement, pour le prix payé, c’est loin d’être justifié. Le spa est petit, dépassé et clairement désuet. Rien de relaxant ni d’exceptionnel — surtout quand on compare avec d’autres établissements au même tarif. Bref, c’est beaucoup trop dispendieux pour la qualité offerte. Je ne recommande pas du tout."
