Home of the Pittsburgh Pirates, PNC Park is considered one of the country’s best major league ballparks. In addition to offering gorgeous views of the downtown Pittsburgh skyline and riverfront, the park features an intimate design that ensures every fan feels close to the game. Watch the Pirates play, explore the park’s exhibits and enjoy classic ballpark food.

Home to the Pittsburgh Steelers, the glorious modern stadium, Heinz Field, is perched on the edge of the meeting point of the city’s three rivers. As well as football, the arena occasionally hosts concerts with some of the biggest names in music as well as soccer and ice hockey games. Visit Heinz Field to attend a football game and get a sense of the local culture and passion.

The Carnegie Science Center is located in the northern Chateau neighbourhood of Pittsburgh. It opened in 1991 and, today, more visitors pass through its doors than any other Pittsburgh museum. From artificial robots to organic sea reefs, the science of sports to the history of submarines, there's something for everyone to enjoy here and you might just leave with a couple of new interests too.

The Pittsburgh National Aviary is the only one in the United States to have achieved 'national' status and is home to over 500 birds representing more than150 different species from across the globe. Its eight intimate, immersive and interactive areas make it a unique and exciting visit for all ages.

Consisting of 17 galleries across seven different floors, the Andy Warhol Museum was opened in 1994 and offers a fascinating insight into the Pop Art movement and the life of the artist himself. It also offers visitors the chance to get an up-close look at some of the most iconic Pop Art works in the world.

The Children's Museum of Pittsburgh, located on the north side of the city, offers a fun, hands-on learning experience for kids. The museum's mantra is to learn through play and exploration, taking children's favourite things and creating an interactive atmosphere of scientific discovery. Catering to very young children in the Nursery area all the way up to teenagers who can learn all kinds of craftwork in the Makeshop section, the centre has something for everyone to enjoy.

Roberto Clemente was a baseball legend who plied his trade with the Pittsburgh Pirates in the fifties and sixties and, in 1998, due to huge popular support, the 6th Street Bridge in the centre of Pittsburgh was renamed in his honour.
