"Extremely welcoming to pets. Hotel provided a comfy dog bed, blanket, feeding mat, water bowl and a doggy welcome box complete with treats and toy. Very impressed. Only area pet not allowed was actual restaurant which was absolutely fine as all other areas were perfect. Thank you Royal George for a lovely stay."

"Parking is first come first served. We had no issue. We did go around twice as we missed the entrance. Room was clean and comfortable. We would have liked a firmer mattress. Loved the wonky bits of the building. Breakfast was lovely. Good choice of everything and we asked if we wanted more. Great atmosphere in the bar, seems popular with locals. All staff were very friendly and chatty. "

"We were not able to have breakfast at the allotted time as we had to be out at an event. However they were kind enough to leave us bacon sandwiches outside our room so we had something to eat"

"Sadly this property needs huge investment. The whole place is really tired. There was no on there to welcome us and they hadn’t sent us the door code so I had to phone twice before someone would pick up and then had to wait for the owner to arrive to let us in, not ideal after a long journey. We had a garden room - which had thread bare carpets with stains on, the most uncomfortable bed imaginable and it just felt dirty. I thought from the pictures this place looked ok, but I was very wrong indeed. They really need to invest as it could be lovely - it’s a great location. "
