"Easy to find just off the motorway, with plenty of parking. Lovely hotel with beautiful gardens and terrace.
The room was excellent having recently been refurbished. Also it had an iron & board which I like to have.
The only thing was that the AC periodically made an awful rumbling noise. I probably should have mentioned it.
Personally I really dislike the tiny cartons of milk you get for tea/coffee but I realise it’s pretty much the norm. I asked for a small jug of milk from the restaurant.
Staff were friendly and food was very good. The breakfast selection was very varied and seemed to have everything you’d want."
"It's a great hotel, very good location right near the edge of the city. Only a few small problems with it, the hairdryer didn't work, the windows hadn't been cleaned in what seemed to be a very long time and had bird dort on the windows, the sofa is stained quite a bit and the carpet made our little boys clothes very dirty as he's in his crawling stage, unfortunately we needed to change him twice while staying due to dirt. The washer and drier were right next to our room and we're supposed to be closed at 8pm each night but we had to ring reception one night at 9.30 to see when it was going to be closed due to something loud being in the dryer and banging for over an hour. We paid for a terrace room and we got a small concrete court yard with a picnic table we couldn't use as it was all warped.
In saying all this! The room was very big, it had air con, was lovely and quite away from the main hotel, we could park right outside, the staff were lovely, we had a fully kitted kitenette and a beautiful bath. The beds were so comfortable also. Just thought it was slightly expensive for what it was."
"My family of 4 had a Family Room at the Savoy and it was perfect. Two twin beds and a king. Plenty of room. A big bathroom, tables to put all our bags on and very comfortable beds. It also had a great bar downstairs and convenient parking at the car park across the street that was discounted. Absolutely loved the Savoy!"
