"The room was lovely and the offer of a free drink in the bar in exchange for no housekeeping is clever. Such a good idea. Unfortunately the wedding in the hotel on Saturday night dominated all the communal areas of the hotel which meant that we couldnโ€™t have the nightcap in the bar we were hoping for, as well as there being the thumping of the music from the wedding in our room until well after 11pm. Had we known yet the bar area would be pretty much out of action to other guests we might have chosen to stay elsewhere."

"This is a lovely old fashioned-feeling, quirky hotel with a great atmosphere. It is in a great location in the heart of Totnes. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and all our meals were tasty with decent portions. The staff members, without exception, were cheerful, helpful and welcoming. Parking is tight with there being only a small car park so other parking options may need to be considered before arrival."
