"Great hotel, I love the decor, a lot of stairs but the hallways are so pretty"

"We were met with a very warm welcome on arrival. The owner was incredibly helpful, offering advise on places to eat and interested in our visit. The room was immaculate and the bed was comfortable. The tea caddy was well stocked. The Aircon was the best we've experienced in years! The decor, atmosphere and architecture of the great hall was amazing and would make a superb venue for a party or wedding. We would absolutely return next time we're in the area."

"We had a comfortable stay. Although the room was large, it is dated. The room was clean, comfortable, and well suited to our short stay. This is a straightforward, no-frills property with the essential amenities, and it met our expectations. Breakfast was a highlight, with a good continental buffet as well as freshly cooked hot breakfast options available to order, providing a great start to the day. "Stayed over in a double room , room was very tired looking and stains on walls. Windows only opened 2 inches and so resulted in very hot room. Bed was uncomfortable. Used spa facilities which were disappointing, steam room was not working and spa was busy with children despite having designated family swim times. Restaurant was very over priced. Having stayed in numerous spa hotels, expected a better standard here but was disappointing"

"Beautiful location - was perfect for us attending Forest Live at Delamere Forest. Lovely room - spacious and clean. Breakfast was perfect & the owners so friendly. Would definitely return & recommend to others."
