"A genuinely special place to stay. The setup was cosy and self-contained, with views of both the sea and across the garden, complete with horses! The cream tea waiting for us on arrival was such a lovely touch after the long drive, and the fresh croissants were a simple addition we appreciated every day. "If want to experience a stay in a unique local hotel, this is it. The building is Victorian, and the environment is comfortable but not trendy. Not everything matches or was updated in the same year, but that is what makes it feel more homey to me. They could probably do with some bathroom upgrades, but everything worked fine and truly that’s all you need. The restaurant is very gluten free friendly, and their gluten free fish and chips were great. The breakfast was very extensive with generous portions. The hotel and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. The location on the Promenade made it even more special. I would stay here again."
