"I had to cancel my stay at The Meritage Resort and Spa due to an unexpected medical situation involving my wife. I contacted Expedia support on the day of check-in and was informed that my case could be reviewed if I provided documentation. After submitting the requested note, the reservation was ultimately marked as a no-show and no refund was approved because the cancellation window had passed. I understand that hotels have cancellation policies, but the process was frustrating and gave me the impression there might be flexibility for medical circumstances when there ultimately was not. Future guests should carefully review the cancellation terms and not assume exceptions will be made, even in emergency situations."

To our surprise and relief, absolutely nothing had been disturbed or moved when we returned. James deserves special recognition for his outstanding customer service and professionalism. Employees like him are the reason guests return. He went above and beyond, and his kindness and attention to detail truly made a lasting impression on us."
