"The staff are great. In my first room, the A/C didn't work and there was no mini-fridge. The front desk gave me another room immediately with the requested amenities. The room is somewhat old-fashioned, which is meant as a complement - classic wood furniture, a nicely upholstered sofa and an actual dresser with drawers into which one could unpack clothing! And a closet! It was on the small side, but the bathroom is comfortably roomy and the walls have better soundproofing than new chain buildings, so you are not bothered by noise in neighboring rooms. A minor downside is the location in a maze of narrow, twisty streets in the old part of downtown Providence - I missed it the first time around and had to circle the block. But there is a parking garage right next door, and they offer valet service. Breakfast is Hilton business-class hotel standard, which is better than average. Overall, I would be happy to stay there again."

"Convenient location and nice bed and bathroom. Only two issues were weird blue purifier lights in the hvac that made the room glow at night (I was offered sleep mask a a solution, but can’t wear) and there were sewer flies coming out of the sink."

"The hotel is an old building (probably early 1900's?) that has been re-tooled to work with today's more modern needs. Having said that, I don't think it hit its intended goal. Expedia notes this as a 3.5 stars - I believe that represents the hotel amenity level. In reality, it is a 2 star hotel at best. The rooms are spare, lighting is dim, bathrooms are tiny, towels are threadbare and not enough of them. The bed was comfortable, but there was not really a bedside table that worked (it was a small table, about 12"x12", no shelf). There was an outlet nearby the bed for charging. One of the two chairs in the seating area looked like it needed repair, the staff was friendly, but not overly helpful, with no phones in the rooms and spotty wi-fi at best. The TV didn't connect well to any of the entertainment apps provided. Lastly, we stayed for 3 nights and end of day 2, I had to ask about housekeeping services, as our room hadn't been attended to. The front desk staff apologized that they "missed" servicing our room and the the cleaning staff had left for the day. He brought up some clean towels. Overall, I was so underwhelmed by the hotel that I considered moving to another one."

"The staff was helpful and the room clean, the water in the shower hot with good water pressure, the towels were plentiful and and the maid service efficient, its just a tired building with worn fixtures outside the immediate entrance area. But for a visit to Provendence it is located in a very good area of town."

"Front desk staff were not friendly. The full breakfast was not worth $25. The quality was not good but there were a lot of options. The restaurant staff were very friendly. The food for dinner was good. The parking was a little difficult and did not know it was $27 for the night before checking in. The hotel is under construction. The rooms were clean and updated. The beds were very comfortable. Getting the car out of the parking garage was very difficult. Had to use the help button at the gate to get out because the instructions they gave us to exit were not correct or the exit gate wasn’t working. The view from the hotel was nice. "
