"Spent a fantastic night here this past weekend, from the moment we checked in all the staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming (we were even wished a good morning by the housekeeping staff we passed in the corridor as we were leaving!), the food and service in the restaurant were also both good and breakfast in the morning offered a great selection of choices. The two rooms we had were both clean and well presented (and close together a we had requested at the time of booking). Super impressed by the staff and the property and will definitely stay again if we are back in the area. "

"Overall stay was OK. Have been many times before and would go again. However, not sure if unlucky with the room on this occasion. The toilet was very slow filling after flush. Kettle leaked water making it unsafe to use, so didn't use it. Fridge was difficult to open due to door leaning towards floor and needed to prop it up. Would make sure I'm in a different room if I stay again."

Hotel owners are amazing people Staff were all helpful and pleasant.THE food was fantastic value would definitely tell everyone to eat in,hotel was a bit dated but to say it was built in the 17th century it's in good order. Hopefully we will be returning in the near future."

"the services had a good array of food outlets that you would expect at a Motorway Service location we had to pay £5.00 to park overnight which is a new additional charge there was poor hot water and at best tepid but the hotel is getting a refurbishment at the moment "
