"The ryokan was a very special experience. A beautiful place to stay in historic Kurashiki. It was a treat to be in such a uniquely Japanese space with the tatami floor, the futon and the special bath. Lovely staff too. "

"I haven't checked out yet, but so far the hotel has been amazing. The staff are friendly and helpful; the room is large, clean, and comfortable; the bath is big and the shower pressure is strong. The bathroom looks much nicer than the standard tiny unit one most hotels have. They offer plenty of amenities at check in, and have a range of items available for free loans if you need them, e.g. phone chargers. I will definitely be visiting Alpha-1 again. "Nice hotel 20‘ by walk from the trainstation. Towels, toothbrush, pijamas and other amenities are provided daily. There is even an inhouse laundry service and a coin laundry. It is not the newest hotel and there was some dust and stains here and there."
