Great value for money. Jungle view was amazing. Free transportation to Ubud center, also there are some grocery stores and restaurants in a walking distance.
Such an incredible stay! The staff were beyond accommodating, always making me feel so welcome. The surroundings were breathtaking, and the on-site restaurant was a true highlight. The breakfast buffet had absolutely everything you could imagine, something to please everyone. Dinner was consistently amazing, every single night, and the views and sounds of the jungle during each meal was a dream come true for me!
What stood out most to me was the kindness of every single individual I met on the staff. They were not only attentive and friendly, but by the end of my stay, they truly felt like family. Their warmth and care turned into one of the most comforting and unforgettable stays of my life.
The complimentary transportation to and from Ubud Center was such a thoughtful touch! The spa treatments were absolutely luxurious, making every visit feel like pure indulgence. Both pools offered the perfect escape from the heat, surrounded by the most breathtaking jungle views. And just a short 5-minute walk away, Pepito supermarket made it easy to grab fresh fruit and little treats, so convenient!
I will absolutely be back, and I can’t wait for my family to meet Katut, Karsana, and Krisna, their kindness made my stay unforgettable! I miss you all soo much, see you soon!
This property has a beautiful setting overlooking a lush valley. There are so many pools we virtually had one to ourselves. The staff are so helpful and friendly. The room was large and well appointed, including a generous balcony with a lovely view, covered so we could even sit out when it was raining.
The only downside is that the walk between the room and other facilities is in poor condition and smelly in parts.
Jungle retreat is really junhle, no one cares, receptionist can not speak english. Beds are dirty and shower water is full of dirt.
All my stay there was no wifi and i was cut off eorld when in hotel as mobile data was not working too.
The quality of food at resturant sucks.
The only positive thing was to chevk out if this god forsaken hotel.
Pl. Donot stay at jungle retreat side of this hotel.
The hotel's location in the middle of the jungle is unique. It is located in the Ubud region in the city, but at the same time remote. The hotel grounds are very large and are located in the middle of the jungle, through which a trekking route leads, making exploring and jogging through the jungle possible.
The view of the jungle, which the hotel offers in many places, are special.
The hotel staff go out of their way to fulfil every wish immediately - there is always someone on hand to help almost immediately when something is needed. This should also be emphasised.
The breakfast offers a good selection of different dishes catering for different target groups (European, American, Asian, local). The view of the vast jungle from the breakfast area is phenomenal.
Mr Malaka is responsible for the breakfast buffet and ensures that every wish is catered for at all times. Everything is very clean, tidy and fresh.
The staff are very friendly and endeavour to answer any questions about your stay. Everything can also be organised, taxis, tickets, food or whatever else you want. Everything is catered for.
For errands and support of all kinds, Mr Karsana in particular is at the guest's side. He can always be contacted if something is needed.
Overall a very good hotel for all jungle fans.

Super smuk beliggenhed midt i junglen, med nem adgang til Ubud by. Utrolig smukt. God mad på stedet. Super service.
Rooms and views are fantastic. Room cleanliness and room service is excellent.
Restaurants were not clean including breakfast area apart from Japanese restaurant ( acceptable).
Breakfast food quality not great.
Roof top pools were unswimmable. Full of jungle flora and not maintained.
Bar pool was ok.
Paths between buildings are precarious and slippery. Only safe after rain with butler buggy.
Again rooms are great and views outstanding but the hotel is a 15 minute taxi outside Ubud which is the real attraction here with excellent shopping.
In hindsight would have stayed in town for convenience
The only good thing about this hotel is the nice view of the jungle and the friendliness of the manager. Other than this, everything else was disappointing. The decoration is depressing, the level of cleanliness is below average, the staff is not qualified to deal with tourists, the hotel is in poor area and far from the city center which makes it difficult to commute. Overall it was a bad exoerience. We checked in for one night only then left to another hotel.

The resort seemed liked it needed to be renovated. The areas that
It was in the “jungle”
That it wasn’t a jungle!!!!! A jungle has in my opinion all kinds of animals.... this hotel is in the middle of a village where the people keep a lot of roosters which are calling each other all day long!!!

A fading giant
Hotel is showing signs of wear and tear. Whilst it is obviously hard to maintain a hotel in a jungle setting, there are some basics that could be improved. But it still holds a certain ramshackle charm.
