Honestly my favorite part about Bali. Staff is so friendly and accommodating. We couldn’t decide on which part of Bali we’d we enjoy more (Ubud or Legian) but it’s all perspective. If you enjoy relaxation this is the spot for you if you want to party choose the beach area.

This is the place to stay!!! Top notch everything from service to accommodations. It is off the beaten path but against the jungle and impeccable!! The staff is friendly, kind, and gets to know you. They are caring and the property is absolutely beautiful! We stayed in the private pool room and it was more than we expected. I will be be coming back here again when I’m Bali! Way better than staying in busy downtown Ubud.

We stayed at Kastara for 3 nights & found the hotel to be every bit as spectacular as the marketing photos depicted on their website. We stayed in a deluxe room which was very spacious, tastefully & stylishly furnished & of course had that killer view of the jungle below. Beds were so comfortable! The staff were extremely attentive & the food was some of the best we have had in Bali. We loved the location of the hotel being away from the hustle & bustle of central Ubud & also the unique design of the property which is like no other hotel we have ever stayed at. would highly recommend!

Jungle amazingness

My wife and I flew from NY to Bali for a few weeks and were told to go to Ubud for a few days to relax....well first, what a great recommendation, second the Kastara Resort was fantastic! We had one of the private pools and absolutely loved our suite. The staff was amazing and accommodating. The location is perfect and we spent most of the days there just walking about the charming neighborhood. We wished we would stay a few days more because it was that relaxing. The spa was fantastic and the gym was great.

Peaceful location with excellent service

We had a very pleasant stay at Kastara Resort! Location was slightly not convenient, however the facilities were great and service from the staffs were wonderful! Our room was spacious and clean, suited us comfortably. This trip was to celebrate my birthday and we really appreciated the staffs who had prepared a surprise celebration with a lovely cake and birthday song and also well wishes. We would like to express our gratitude for the warm experience. It made our night more special. A shoutout to Dedik. Thank you Kastara Resort! Highly recommended.

We loved our stay at Kastara! It was such beautiful service with incredible views. Perfect for those who would like to get away from the busy hustle and bustle of Bali! The only constructive criticism I would have is food. Seafood was served cold and sparse for the money. And having some extra sambal on the side for us to add our own level of spice would be a great improvement! We thought the seafood tasted slightly bland. Besides that it was a great stay! Would definitely be back :) thanks team!!!

This place is absolute magic. The hotel is gorgeous. We had a bath on the balcony. Having a bath sitting in the jungle with storms rolling in was a beautiful experience. The room is stunning. Comfortable bed. Food was good. Only complaint is they need cable like foxtel because the tv reception doesn’t work. Can’t log into Netflix (even though they say you can- it didn’t work and they don’t have their own account) so we had to watch movies through YouTube. This is not ideal. They really need their own account for Netflix due to the reception. Apart from that I couldn’t fault the place. No shops near by so take some treats or incidentals with you.

A beautiful retreat in the countryside with a charming and peaceful atmosphere. Loved the surroundings and the relaxing vibe. You can hear roosters crowing and cuckoos calling, which really adds to the rural charm.

Nous avons passé un séjour inoubliable dans cet hôtel. Au cœur de la jungle et pas loin du centre d’Ubud, cet hôtel est une véritable perle rare. Les chambres avec piscine sont magnifiques et offrent une superbe vue sur la jungle. Il y a un chemin de randonnée qui mène au centre de l’hôtel qui est à faire pour apprécier les boutiques d’arts et les restaurants aux alentours. Le petit déjeuner est délicieux et copieux et la carte du restaurant est variée. Le personnel est très sympathique et était très attentionné par rapport à toutes nos demandes durant notre séjour. Et une mention spéciale à Wira pour sa gentillesse et ses connaissances sur Bali ( et son don en photographie ☺️) lors d’un day Trip dans Ubud. Nous remercions aussi Mirna et Parwati pour le massage qui était très relaxant et nous a fait beaucoup de bien.

Un hôtel magnifique avec un emplacement extraordinaire, une vue fantastique. Le calme aux portes d’Ubud avec plein de petits restos autour excellents et très abordables. Excellents petits déjeuners, belle piscine, personnel souriants et aux petits soins pour rendre votre séjour inoubliable. Can't explain myself enough on how incredible our 10 day honeymoon at this resort was. It was beyond beautiful, pictures before seeing it did not do it justice. We were in absolute awe upon arrival. They greeted us with a delicious tea in sandwich since we arrived at midnight and were very tired and jet lagged. The decorated our rooms beautifully for our honeymoon. Everything about our time here 10/10. We wanted/needed for absolutely nothing. We felt like a king and queen! The views were breathtaking and when you add in the fact that their food was AMAZING, the best massages of our lives, and the staff provided the best service top down throughout our entire stay. They have true gratitude that you are there and they make it known. Don't skip the delicious Hibachi dinner which must be scheduled in advance. We are coming back next year without question! There are tons of resorts in Ubud, but this is by far the best. BOOK IT!

The facilities, services, and views at Kastara are amazing. We ordered room service for breakfast and ate on our patio multiple times. They give great massages at their spa. The food at the two restaurants was delicious. There are other restaurants within a ten minute drive. There were a couple things I didn’t like. First, they don’t allow Grab drivers (or any online taxi) to pick you up at the resort. They provide their own local drivers but they are more than double the price. Second, we went on one private tour which they organized as well. The tour details specified an English speaking driver but our driver knew about 5 English words. He also did not follow the tour itinerary and took us to the wrong waterfall which was disappointing and wasted a couple hours or our time. We didn’t have time to see 2 out of the 4 places on the itinerary. Overall our stay at Kastara was amazing and I recommend staying there. I would just not recommend their tour.

Loved our stay at Kastara

Everything was great: beautiful swimming pool and room, amazing food (we ate at the restaurant multiple times and always delicious) and perfect location if you like to be outside the busy center of Ubud. The service was impeccable, the first night the room became light with sunrise, and they even offered to change the curtains so we could sleep in the second morning. Would definitely stay again.
