Renovations and closures

In accordance with local regulations, all visitors must remain within the property during Seclusion Day (Nyepi)/Hindu New Year for a 24-hour period (starting at 6 AM). Seclusion Day typically falls in March or April (dates subject to change each year). Check-in and check-out will not be possible on that date. Ngurah Rai Airport (Bali International Airport) is also closed on Seclusion Day.

If you going to stay here don't use Hotels.com to booked it. Me and my friends were there on May 2019 and we booked 4 rooms back in February 2019. My reservations was confirm with hotels.com. my booking was to pay at the hotel at check in. One of my friend also booked it using hotels.com and already paid for it back in February 2019. When we got there the this place they only have 1 RSVP for 1 room which was booked with booking.com they don't have the 3 RESERVATIONS booked with hotels.com BUT ON THEIR WALL THEY GOT A CERTIFICATE FROM HOTELS.COM WITH 4 STARS ON IT. We called hotels.com and they said they faxed and emailed our reservations to the hotel back in February and they can proof it. The manager was mad and at 1 point he told us to go somewhere. We were frustrated with no place to so the manager put the 3 of us with their sister hotels.

Nice place. Food was good. Both much better than what we had at an upscale beach resort in Seminyak! Beautiful location. Spacious rooms. I would stay again. Only issue I did have was that the villas were supposed to pick us up at the airport. This is something I reconfirmed just before we left. We waisted a lot of time waiting at the airport for a driver who was never going to arrive to arrive. I tried calling and emailed multiple times to get no answer. If something like this wver happens to you don’t be afraid to just go grab a deiver. There are a ton of them begging to give you a ride anywhere. Just settle the details first. With I would have done that right feom the beginning. Because I didn’t we didn’t reach the villa until around 9pm. After being in an airplane for 24 hours and expecting to be at the villa by 5-6 and not making it to 9 it was definitely a disappointment but they did at least try to make it right with us.

Very calm place

I stayed for 2 nights in Pajar Villa it is very calm and comfortable, hotel it's out of ubud center by approx 15 minutes by car, hotel providing free shuttle service to & from ubud center every hour from 9 am to 10 pm pool is amazing experience as surrounded by rice fields and value for money was great

Best staff

We came back to Pajar house for the second time after 3.5 years and it was great. As usual, the staff was the nicest that we’ve ever experienced in Bali. They are extremely nice, helpful and is the main reason for such a great experience in Pajar house. Hotel is in a nice queit area and there is a convenient shuttle bus service where you get sent to/picked up from Ubud centre. Hotel even provides a mobile phone to call them for any requests. Thank you Pajar house team for a great experience again! Some suggestions to make it even better: 1) Food price: it’s quite pricey for the amount/quality of food. Either reduce the price or increase the portion (for example burger comes with very few fries); 2) Room cleaniness: it would be great to have blanket cover as It clearly cannot be washed daily without one. Similarly, the mosquito net could be washed more frequently. It seemed that the one in our room wasn’t washed for a very long time as it had many stains. There were some other signs that rooms were not cleaned very well after previous guests. 3) Lizards: not sure if anything can be done with this one, but it would be great to ensure that there are no lizzards in the room. They can make quite some noise in the night (and well... poop everywhere). Tackling the above would make Pajar house comparable to best hotels in the area. Even with the above issues it is still great and reasonably priced stay. We will be returning again!
