Excellent B & B

Excellent stay. We stayed in the family room which had everything we needed. The manager and staf whenever we asked for advice or help could not be more helpful. I would definitely recommend this place

Man fühlt sich gelich wie zu Hause.

Ich kann das Sylvan Grove Guest House uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Sehr guter Service. Ich wurde herzlich empfangen und bekam viele gute Tipps für Ausflüge. Das Zimmer liegt traumhaft schön am Pool, ist bestens ausgestattet und ruhig. Das Frühstück wurde individuell für mich zubereitet. Freue mich auf den nächsten Aufenthalt!

親切ママさん運営の海が見えるゲストハウス

親切ママさんが運営されているゲストハウスです。ややアッパーな住宅街（リゾート地？）の中とあって治安は良さそうでした。早朝のフライトだったため朝食はいただけなかったのですが、代わりにわざわざサンドイッチを用意してくれました。部屋は特に広いというわけでないですがキレイにはされています。 空港からの往復はUberを利用しました。部屋からは海も見えて、良い季節にまたゆっくり来たいなと感じました。

Exactly what I needed whilst my husband was in hospital..... quiet, comfortable, clean and a delicious breakfast. Was disappointed in the TV programmes I couldn't get, but wasn't serious for me as I was chilling.

Comfortable stay, good location

The room and bathroom we stayed in was spacious. The breakfast was well prepared and hearty. The location is great . The service is professional. If you are looking for a comfortable stay this is the place, but if you are looking for more character and a cosy atmosphere this might not be for you. I would suggest this more for the business traveller. In summer it could be better as it has a nice pool area.

Very Quiet Location

Although this is just a bed and breakfast establishment it is very good for short stays. With a "pet" taxi driver going into the town was not a problem.

Enjoyable stay

We really enjoyed our stay at Sylvan Grove. The guest house is situated in a really nice and safe area, which is important in South Africa. The owner was very sweet and helpful. Rooms were nicely decorated and very comfortable. Would definitely stay at Sylvan Grove again.

Additional charges of R1000+ at departure.

We booked via hotels.com. We booked for a family of three. We were charged online for the full amount, or so it stated on the receipt. At the end of our stay, we were given a charge of R1035.00 due to our son not being paid for. When queried, the manager stated that it has happened before, but failed to check this detail when we arrived, or better yet, before we departed! Terrible oversight of something that has happened on other occasions. This should be noted when a booking for 2 adults, and 1 child they need to physically check if the child has been paid for. This is an extra R1000+ that was never accounted for in our budget, and having known this from day 1, the staff should have surely given us advance warning. Especially with an establishment that only has 6 rooms. If this did not occur, I would give the establishment high praise, but this is a costly oversight that, as stated, could have been corrected in due time. Especially since we booked 3 months before our departure.

comfortable stay in perfect setting

Chris and Jill are lovely people who went out of their way to enure our comfort and happiness. The room was comfortable immaculately clean and tidy with a lovely view over their immaculate garden and swimming pool. The breakfast was delicious. Eminently repeatable exercise.
