Generous amount of space. Basically an apartment style room straight out of the 70’s. Hotels are out of control expensive in Vancouver, this place is relatively good value. Very friendly front desk team. Thanks.

The lady at teception was lovely. She enabled us to have an early check in. The rooms are in desparate need of an update, but we were aware of this. The location was excellent, that is why we stsyed here.

The room smelt like mothballs, stained floors, love seat and lamp shades. There were cockroaches in the kitchen area. The bed was clean and comfortable. The staff were very nice.

The suite layout was good but I don't think any updating was done to the room. The tub had dirty caulking around it, the sink taps were corroded, and it looks like there is some kind of small bullet hole in the bedroom window. There are many more signs of wear so $300 per night seems like a lot to be honest.

We were able receive an early check in. The room was ready, clean and spacious. The shower had good pressure and the water was hot The staff were super friendly in our coming and going. It is located within walking distance to many places to visit and eat. Cora’s across the street was a good breakfast option. So good! If you don’t mind no air conditionering and enjoy having the windows open for ventilation, I would highly recommend Tropicana.
