"After many trips to Bangor for concerts we finally decided to give Hollywood Casino Hotel a try. Mostly because we got it before the inflated price of them knowing there was a concert going on. The price gouging on hotel rooms when bands are in town is scandalous and I hope someday legislation will stop it. Everybody does it in all parts of the country so I guess it would be unfair of me to single out this hotel.
Location of this hotel is amazing. Across the street from Cross Insurance Centre, 45 second walk down the street to Maine Savings Amphitheatre it doesn’t get any better.
The service at the desk seemed great. Indoor parking garage is nice, kind of confusing on how to get to hotel lobby from parking but there was lots of helpful staff near by that helped out no problem. The room itself is a little dated. Average at best. But it was very clean, And when your in town for a show your only in it to sleep so that was no problem. Casino area is very nice, Restaurant attached but we did not try.
I would recommend this hotel for sure if you’re coming in for a concert or show just because of location alone. That is if you can get to it in time before the price of a night goes from 175 dollars a night to 500. "
"Property was not as feuded on the pictures. There was definitely some condition issues as far as the room goes it was clean, but the bed itself was not comfortable. The doors in the hallway had a lot of chipped paint off it and the pool area was not clean, including the pool was very dirty and not clear at all."
"for a "pick up" breakfast there were lots of choices. It had better options than other cold breakfast offerings at other hotels. Staff was very pleasant. Rooms were clean. Mattresses were very comfortable.
Overall a very pleasant stay."
"For a budget aged property it is as clean as the newer ones in the area. The staff was great room was spotless, quiet, comfortable bed and breakfast was solid hotel food. Well worth it. "
"A quick night stop… gal at front desk pleasant and helpful…motel has loads of drinks, food stuff, a list of close by restaurants could be very helpful. Breakfast was excellent, food fresh, tasty coffee great, they didn’t miss a step with that… would definitely recommend "
