Beautiful hotel, in lovely surroundings. Food and drinks are expensive but lovely so you don’t mind. Only main downside is there’s no aircon in the rooms or a fan. It wasn’t a particularly hot day but the rooms were really hot. Would definitely return though

Wonderful view and surroundings

Slept there one night in connection to a dinner and wine tasting in the Treetop fine-dining restaurant. The hotel is nicely situated in the middle of a forest and with a stinning view of Vejle Fjord. The architecture is very robust and typical for the late 60’s/early 70’s. Rooms are nice and large. The other facilities include a spa and a casino which were not our targets for the stay. Reception and breakfast staff nice - the staff in the bar was lacking some professional skills

The location was good to visit the Legoland for a day, otherwise we were not satisfied with the hotel because of several mistakes that a 4 star hotel should not do: Check-in took forever because the receptionist girl had a very long phone call and apparently she was the only person at work. We had done pre-check in online, but that was not shown in her computer. The room was very dirty. The floor had a carpet and that was full of old food pieces and even an old drinking glass was lying on the floor. The curtains had food/drink stains as well. The room had no real ceiling light, just several different wall lamps and standing lamps, all from different style. The room was also very old. On the evening the sink in the bathroom started dripping, which we told to the receptionist and she just stared us blankly with no words, nor solutions. Finally she agreed to give us a bucket to collect the water. The next day the management called us and offered a new room, but we were already out at the Legoland. We arrived back at the hotel 9pm exhausted from the Legoland, and there was a queue in the reception so we were unable to change the room. When we arrived in our room, the sink was repaired. Next day at check out the receptionist did not mention anything. At the bar and restaurant we had to deal with dirty tables. At the breakfast the table cloths were on both days full of bread crumble and food stains. We had to shake those off by ourselves to make it ok to sit down and eat.

All in all, my expectations were not met. I had the impression from the Internet reports that we would have a great experience. At the front desk we were met by a clerk that was polite and professional. Smiling and very emphatic. Then..... No lift direct to our floor from the lobby, and we had quite a lot of luggage. When arriving the designated floor level we were met with a corridor covered with old carpet making it difficult to roll our suitcases. And then the room..... the floor covered with the same old wall-to-wall carpet. We hate floors that cannot be cleaned in a decent and hygienic manner. The rooms are without AC, refrigerator, iron and iron table. We now talking about a hotel class 2 stars. The breakfast was OK, but not at all up to what we know as "Danish standard". It was far away..... but the prices for lunch, beverages, wine, and dinner courses should leave you with an impression that this is a TOP HOTEL. IT IS NOT. Service people are nice but the lack of their no education for their work position was obvious. Can I recommend the hotel? Hmmm.... they have to either upgrade the hard ware and the quality of the employees a lot or lower the asking price for their rooms a lot! Sorry, but this was not worth the monies.

Das Personal war nett. Frühstück war klasse. Die Zimmer sind ok. Poolbereich schön sauber. Lage mitten im Wald. Trotzdem nur wenige Autominuten zum Zentrum.

Beautiful Danish designed Brutalist designed property with great outdoor areas and a nice breakfast. Lot's of great classic designer furnitures around the building. The hotel was very full during our stay. The gym could be larger and better equipped, ideally with a water station offering cold water. Bathrooms are very simple, but overall the rooms are functional and of a decent size.

Schön gelegenes großes Hotel mit guten Parkmöglichkeite, riesigem Frühstücksbuffet und einem kleinen Wellnessbereich. Leider ist der Preis für ein DZ mit über 200 Euro zu hoch. Trotzdem würden wir es weiterempfehlen.

Hotellet er MEGET slidt. Der er rigtig mange trapper, hotellet er IKKE egnet til ældre/gangbesværede. Sengene er alt alt for bløde, minder om de billigste fra Jysk. Badeværelset er meget lille. Vandhanen kan ikke åbne for fuld styrke. Vasken var ulækker. Bruseren fungerer ikke ordentligt. Klædeskabet siger en skingrende lyd, kunne forbedres med en enkelt smøring. Der var støvet og masser af andre gæsters lange hår på sofaen. Tv havde kun 5 kanaler! Remoten til at tænde og slukke lyset, var i stykker (manglede batterier) Der var MEGET larm ude på gangen. Både om dagen, men mest om aftenen og natten af andre gæster som råbte/skændtes og var berusede. Selve pool og boblebad - nej tak. Der var overfyldt med børn, som bare var overladt til sig selv - tog ikke hensyn til andre voksne gæster! Der mangler ganske enkelt opsyn i pool området. Det eneste positive var morgenmads buffeten. Der manglede intet, alt var meget frisk og lækkert. Den var åben fra kl.7:00 MEN, et stort minus var at alt det varme fra buffeten (Scramble egg, bacon, pølser, pandekager, omelet, osv.) det var først klar til servering kl.7:30 Vi havde virkelig brug for en afstressende weekend sammen, men opholdet endte desværre med at blive meget stressende! Hotelopholdet betalte vi egentlig rimelig mange penge for, men det var overhovedet ikke det værd. Vil vi booke dette hotel igen - NEJ ALDRIG...

Tolle Lage, super Frühstück, schöner Pool

Alkes prima, Frühstück ist einfach super, die Lage des Hotels auch..- etwas “ in die Jahre gekommen”..- : keine Powerautlets am Bed ( schon lange kein USB)..- für 4-Sterne Hotel : keine Klimaanlage!!!- war sehr sehr heiß im Juli..- aber wie gesagt: wir kommen häufig her.. Der pool ist prima!!!

Fint men travlt ophold

Vi havde generelt et dejligt ophold. Dog var der virkelig mange børn i poolen ved aftentid og de havde svært ved at følge med i morgenbuffen, så den var også ret tom. Vi synes også det er lidt frækt at tilbyde drinks ved poolloungen og så opkræve 150kr for at levere det. Men ellers var det en fin oplevelse, som dog bar præg af travlhed

Fornuftig pris på fint sted

Lidt udenfor Vejle, højtbeliggende i park ved skov. Gode værelser, selv ved standard, med fri adgang til pool, damp og boblebad. Yderst fornuftig morgenmadsbuffet og god restaurant. Og så til en fornuftig penge selv i juli.
