The hotel was fantastic. I did the upgrade and the room was beyond exceptional. Massive with a roof top terrace. The hotel had everything we needed and more, the restaurant, the bar and reception gave exceptional service. The location made it easy to see the palace and the gardens and had plenty of food venues close. Loved our stay

Absolutely loved the proximity to Schönbrunn and the wonderful breakfast. The hotel is a favorite for conventions, so the bar and breakfast room can be quite noisy

Fantastic location at Schonbrunn and an easy train or tram ride to all other landmarks. Room had a balcony which was great to sit on after being out all day. Room and hotel were great with lots of restaurants, cafes and shops nearby.

We enjoyed this hotel for our 6 night stay in Vienna. Even though it is away from the downtown, the U4 subway is a short walk and it is close to the Schonbrunn Palace grounds. The upgrade to breakfast was well worth it. Fresh fruit and cheeses, yogurts, cereals and hot eggs and bacon, etc. A nice start to the day. Rooms were comfortable as were the beds and generally quiet on the 3rd floor. Was able to accommodate us for an early morning check in and usual check out is 12 noon. Definitely recommend the gelato and sit in Italian pizza place located close by.

Hotel looks nice from outside. Building looks gorgeous. Premium room and Jr.suite rooms are just big size. No amenities, no house slippers. If you book through the Expedia or 3rd parties, check in was not smoothly done. It took time.

This truly is a gem of a hotel. The elegance and charm of the hotel is so enjoyable. The rooms are renovated and outfitted with modern conveniences yet retain old world charm. The balcony overlooking Schoenbrunn parkland is soothing and relaxing. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

I stayed at the Austria Trend as a solo traveller twice during the same trip. My rooms were large and beautiful. During the first stay, I had a lovey balcony that looked out over the city rooftops. My only complaint is that housekeeping came every day quite early (before 10am) so that if I missed putting out the “Do not disturb” sign, my morning was interrupted. An easy problem to fix, of course. I enjoyed the location of the hotel - it is very close to a metro station, with a grocery store just around the corner, several cafes and bakeries to choose from and right across the street from the amazing Schönbrunn Palace. I liked that I was a little bit outside of the more intense tourist areas but could get to all the major attractions easily by public transit without any long walks after dark. A classy European hotel at a great price in a great location. That’s why I decided to return for a few more nights before heading home.
