Nice Antique Hotel but Be Patient
Jacuzzi is dangerous, especially due to the type of floor they have and the uneven inside of it and sometimes we were forced to have breakfast at our room. The are no option around until after 10 am. Parking space are very very tight

We liked the location, a bit away from the centre but a lovely spot over looking the ocean. The old mansion is furnished with antiques and beautiful details. The staff was very helpful. The included breakfast was great as was the welcoming drink.

The hotel was very centrally located near the water. Our room had a quaint balcony with a picturesque view of the ocean. It was perfect for enjoying a bottle of wine. The room itself was quite small & awkward. The shower was a bit unsafe as it was really just a hot tub with a removable shower spout. Not very comfortable as we kept slipping & water shot everywhere. The wifi was horrible. Not that we wanted to surf the web in our rooms all day, but wifi is necessary for planning your day, making reservations, etc. It was definitely a bit of an inconvenience. The staff was very accommodating! They were exceptionally pleasant & eager to help. They did try to charge us for parking as we checked out, even though it was included in the price. I was happy I brought a print out of the reservation with me or I could have ended up overpaying in the end.

location was great.
Hotel staff are very helpful specially Elsa made our stay pleasant. Hotel needs to improve on cleanliness. the stairs carpet and the room carpets needs attention. The bathroom shower does not drain well.

Domus Mare is a wonderful spot for a get away to Vina Del Mar. It is quaint and comfortable and the staff is great. The view from the upper floor room is nice. The only downside is the road noise as the hotel sits above the highway.

Be very cautious in choosing this hotel
My fault, i made the reservation for 2 instead of 3 people. we arrived, confessed my error and offered to pay for the extra person (my daughter) in the room and breakfast. Our family wanted to stay in one room together. The minute we arrived and notified them of this, the "chef" manager or owner, not sure, started in on us that we were liars and cheats trying to stiff her out of income. we again told her it was my mistake, we offered to pay for my 2nd daughter, but she told us only way we could do this was to take another room for $150 and not stay together. I was with my 2 daughters and we wanted to be together as we had in all of our prior hotels in Chile (after having made the same mistake with those hotel rooms too). She stated Chilean policy prohibited 3 people in a room which we experienced was not correct. We again asked to pay extra and stay in one room and explained we had done this throughout Chile. She and staff members went into an office, slammed the door. They emerged finally and would not agree to accommodate us or our stay. The employees apologized when she left the room. We had no choice but to gather our luggage and go find another hotel that night. It was after dark. Thankfully we found a kind gentlemen with an internet cafe who helped us. We were all trembling, no joke, after this experience with this woman. It felt like we were in very bad and scary movie and left homeless until we found a last minute replacement hotel.

Excelente lugar, buena recepción y atención del personal. Instalaciones limpias, muy cómodo y bello hotel. Totalmente recomendado. Lástima que el restaurante no funcione, era un enorme plus.

Domus mare excelente calidad
Muy buena experiencia, es una casona antigua reciclada con personal amabilisimo y excelente calidad de comida en el desayuno y el restaurante. Habitaciones muy cómodas, ropa de cama excelente. No está en el centro pero es de fácil acceso llegar a el

Para vacaciones sí, para negocios no lo recomiendo
El hotel se ubica en una bonita casa, pero habiendo estado solo 1 noche y por trabajo, quedé con una impresión mezclada. La ubicación es buena, hay pequeñas tiendas con lo básico cerca, la habitación bien decorada , MUY limpia, cama, baño, wi fi, muy buenos, las personas amables. Pero solo recomendaría ir de vacaciones y en pieza con vista al mar. En una habitación sin eso, el precio es excesivo, he estado en hoteles boutique en Chile y otros países, con ubicaciones espléndidas y por bastante menos dinero. Además, por un compromiso de trabajo que tenia temprano, dejé pedido el desayuno a las 7.30 el día anterior y terminé desayunando en 5 minutos corriendo, porque finalmente me lo sirvieron 20 min después (tuve que llamar yo a las 7.40 porque no llegaba).

Excelente en todo sentido Sobre todo me gusto la amabilidad de la gente que maneja el Hotel. Laura en la recepción y Luis en la gerencia, siempre amables y dispuestos a ayudarnos a disfrutar la estadía con acertadas recomendaciones. El desayuno riquísimo, el cuarto ordenado y limpio, la comida en el restaurante del hotel muy buena y la vista al mar un placer! Muy contentos con la estadía en el Domus Mare.
