"There is something about this hotel that is both charming and nostalgic. Downtown Virginia is almost like a step back in time to the 1960's Mayberry of the Andy Griffin Show. Almost all of the stores were closed on Sunday with the exception of the neighborhood sports bar Snickers (refreshing) and I think they even have a couple of Otis characters about as well milling about. The hotel also has both a pool and sauna. Definitely, I would recommend a stay. "

"This older motel was a great place to stay. Our room had been updated, and was very clean. There's no breakfast, but a welcoming basket of snacks was waiting for us in the room. Nice fridge and microwave and hot shower. Our bed was very comfortable. Next time we're in this area, we'll definitely stay at the Lakeshor Motor Inn!"

"Our stay met expectations as we were only using this for a rest stop on a two day journey. Dated motel, amenities met expectations, clean bathroom, comfortable beds, decent basic breakfast. Only real complaint was dirty floors in both of our rooms. Met basic needs for our purposes and would consider staying there again. "

"Very nice, clean hotel. I have stayed here on many occasions while passing through on my way to Canada. There are train tracks behind the hotel and you do hear the trains passing through, however they do provide earplugs. They have a nice indoor pool and a bar located inside next to the lobby. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to our next visit. "
