Very nice place to stay, average sized room. Central location right next to the railway station and less than a 5-min walk into the town centre. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic with a wide choice available. Only negative comment is that the room cleaniness wasn't so amazing, an old sticky sweet and balls of fluff were under the main bed, not enough to complain about but would expect better than that (only discovered that after i dropped something on the floor and bent down to pick it up). Overall though, would recommend and stay again.

Great location, well-organized hotel. My only issue was that we quickly got bored of the very limited food offerings in the hotel (and there is not much variety around either, especially on a holiday weekend). And there were some odd inconsistencies with the food. For example, the first mushroom soup I got (which was delicious) had 4 pieces of gnocchi as a garnish. A few days later, it was basically gnocchi with a mushroom sauce! I would stay again for maximum 3 nights.

Disappointed
Hotel is in a great spot, With train and bus stadion right around them. The breakfast was great and the exercise area was nice. My biggest drawback was the condition of the room when I arrived. Dirty floor with a lot of hair, no soap in soap dispenser, extra toilet paper roll look like it was soaked in water, beds was not lined up. I would suggest to retrain/fire the head housekeeper if they approved the inspection before I arrived.

It is right by the train station and we couldn’t ask more! The breakfast was out of the world! I’ve never had such delicious, phenomenal breakfast! We enjoyed it very much!! The staff was very kind as well.

A friendly, clean, quiet, modern hotel in Voss
Exceptional quality and customer service. We can’t say enough great things about our stay, but here are a few elements: the very high-quality breakfast buffet is delicious, plentiful, and long (7-10:30am); the entire hotel is super quiet, even in the height of summer tourist season; the beds are comfortable and the amenities are plentiful.

Stayed overnight on our Norway in a Nutshell adventure. Clean property, staff was very helpful and very nice. Breakfast was fabulous! I am gluten I tolerant and finding a GF station is so very nice! Our room was overlooking the railway and there was work being overnight. At first was frustrating after a long day but soon it became white noise. Would stay here again. Beautiful area!

Perfect in every way
This was the perfect location for us. We arrived on a bus from Flam right in front of the hotel and when we left, the train to Bergan was directly behind the hotel. The breakfast buffet was nothing less then amazing. My grandson is a wheelchair user and the hotel was easy to get around in and the room was spacious enough to move around in.

If you are driving do not stay at this hotel. It is one thing to not have parking at the hotel but quite another when you can't even drop your bags off right at the hotel and then go and park. I saw a number of older couples dragging big suitcases down the street to get to the hotel -- as I had to do myself. Not good. The place is great if you're taking the train but I would not recommend it for those with a rental car.

Best Stay
The stay was amazing with beautiful Hotel location. Got a room with window facing the lake and mountains which provided a mesmerizing view of the surrounding. Staff were polite and friendly. Breakfast buffet was good and had variety.

Pros: - Next to Voss gondola and the beautiful lake of Voss. - Lake view rooms have a beautiful view over the lake. - Just by the bus and train station. So, it's a good choice if you're coming by public transportation with your luggage. Otherwise, it's tough if you're coming by car (your car or a taxi. See below). - Rooms were clean and have recycling bins. - The breakfast buffet is big and has a large variety. - The taste of the tap water is great! Cons: - If you're coming by car. It can be hell if you have lots of luggage and if you have children or elderly as individual cars cannot enter the area where the main entrance is. You would have to park either in the limited parking space before the hotel (paid parking with a max of 3 hours) or park at a 15-minute parking lot a few meters away from the entrance. In such a case, you'd have to go all the way to the hotel to grab the luggage cart and then push it all the way back. Then walk again to move your car to the parking lot that's even further by another few meters. - The overnight parking lot is paid (250 NOK per day). So, no free parking. - If you have a "city view" room (i.e., on the rear side of the hotel), be prepared to hear the cargo and commercial trains which run immediately under the room. Cargo trains can run a bit after midnight. - Reception is on the second floor, so you'd have to take your luggage one floor up to check in. - Lastly, the hotel is expensive given all these critiques.

Great room and breakfast. Staff could be more helpful though. The hotel tells you to park in a nearby lot. We had an issue when trying to pay for the parking and when we asked the hotel staff to help us translate they just told us it wasn’t their problem and we were on our own.

Conveniently located right next to the train station (we had an early train). Very helpful staff for our questions about buses, trains, and hotel amenities. Wonderful breakfast buffet (everything you could imagine). We also enjoyed the sauna. Very quiet at night.
